Ken's Cyber Cave: Recharge and Reboot your Feng Shui luck for the Year of Ox

SOLAR VS. LUNAR NEW YEAR

Some people are confused by the Solar New Year and Chinese Lunar New Year. Solar calendar is based on the relative location of sun to the earth. Solar New Year day is pretty consistently arriving on around February 4th and sometimes on the 3rd (立春 Spring begins or Li-chun). Feng Shui, QMDJ, Bazi and many Chinese metaphysics systems are based on the solar calendar. For 2021 Year of Ox, the Solar New Year will start at 23:01 on February 3.

The Chinese Lunar Calendar is based on the relative location of the moon to the earth. The Lunar New Year day changes every year. Chinese New Year celebration is based on the lunar calendar. For 2021 Year of Ox, the Chinese Lunar New Year will start on February 12.

RECHARGE AND REBOOT FENG SHUI LUCK

2020 Year of Rat has been a tough year for most earthlings due to the pandemic. Finally, the long anticipated Year of Ox will arrive at 11:01 pm on February 3, 2021. Here are something you can do before the new year arrives to enhance your luck

"Recharge" means replenishing the qi or energy of your house after a year of operation. "Reboot" means restarting a new Feng Shui process because you feel your luck is less than satisfactory or even horrible.

Below are methods to recharge or reboot the Feng Shui energies of your house in the last day of the lunar year.

RECHARGE HOUSE FENG SHUI (do these in last day of the lunar year)
1. Do a house cleaning, remove/ replace or repair broken or damaged items.

2. Cut or remove dead leaves/ branches of any house plants. If you want to add new plants, new year eve or new year day is the best time to do it.

3. Move your Feng Shui animals like ki-lun, calabash, coins-salt water, water fountain and the like to the locations for the Year of Ox (see my previous post on Grand Duke for exact locations). Do this part on Feb. 3, before 23:01.

REBOOT HOUSE FENG SHUI
Do the #1- 3 in the "Recharge house Feng Shui" section, PLUS:
1. At the last night of the year, turn on all the lights in the house and let it on until morning.
2. Find any portable light source (LED lights, light beam and the light) to illuminate/ flash any dark space/ corner in your house, including the underside of your bed, to drive out negative or dark energies.
3. At mid-night (00:01), turn on any fans, open all windows and doors to force all indoor qi (energy of the Year of Rat) out of the house and draw in new year energy (do NOT do this if your luck is good in 2020). Close the doors and windows when you feel the air inside your house is fresh. If you live in a cold region, you can light incenses or sage to fume the house instead.
4. If you feel your personal luck was very bad in the Year of Rat, you can cleanse your aura by having another person sweeping sage or incense smoke around your body. Alternatively, you can light a bonfire and have your own family sit around the fire to cleanse the aura of your whole family.

"ROBBING" THE WEALTH ENERGY OF A BANK

Water also symbolizes wealth in Chinese belief and Feng Shui. On the second day of the Chinese Lunar New Year (Feb. 13, 2021), go to a bank of any financial institution with a small bottle, drink their free coffee/ mineral water (if available) and take a bottle of their water from their water cooler/ water fountain/ water tap home. Pour this bank water into a bowl with a copper or silver coin in the bottom. Then put this coin-water bowl in the wealth position of your home (search my blog for "wealth position") to enhance wealth. You may do this on Feb. 12 if your local bank close on Saturdays.

"Ken, can I still use these methods if I miss the last day of the year?"

Yes, wait 360+ days till Feb. 1, 2022 for the Year of Tiger to do it. But you can still use these methods in any day for cleansing. The effects are just not as potent as doing it in the last day of the year.
