600th Article: Predicting Suicidal Tendency using Birth Year and Hour

This is my 600th article. It takes me 20 years to reach this milestone. Hopefully you will see my 1200th article in 20 years.

To mark this occasion, I have spent extra time and effort to write this suicide prevention article. It can also predict the likely year, month, day or hour when one dies.

This method was derived from a acupuncture classic "Encyclopedia of Acupuncture
针灸大成" written by a TCM doctor Yang Ji Zhou (杨继洲) in Ming Dynasty (1368- 1644). The method was developed based on his clinical and Yi-jing studies.

This method was integrated into the Medicine Buddha sect by renaming the 12 animals signs employed with the 12 Medicine Buddha Guardian Generals.

This method matches one's Chinese birth animal sign to a certain birth hour. This person would likely commit suicide if his/ her birth hour matches that hour. Check the table below:

For example, if you were born in 1984 Year of Rat and the birth hour is 18:00 rooster or you hour. You are suicide prone. The likely hour of suicide or serious misfortune is either rooster or you hour (17-19:00) or rabbit or mao hour (5- 7:00). The likely month and day to happen will be rooster (you) or rabbit (mao) month/ day. The month and day are in Chinese solar calendar. You can use Bazi-calculator.com to find out the exact animal signs of your birthday, month and hour. You may also use this link to convert your date to Chinese solar calendar with animal signs:

For your convenience, here is the birth year and animal sign table. Please be aware that birthdays before February 3 are considered as previous year.

"Ken, using the previous rat sign person example, how about if this person was NOT born in that suicide prone hour?"

The rooster (you) and rabbit (mao) years, months, days and hours are likely his time of departing this earth and time to avoid for major activities and decisions. In other words, these are his unfavorable timings.

Here is a real life example. Hong Kong movie star and singer Leslie Cheng had committed suicide by jumping from a hotel in April 1, 2003 at 18:41 (rabbit month, rooster hour). He was born in 1956 (Monkey Year) in a rabbit hour-- suicide prone hour. He had passed in a rooster hour and rabbit month (matching the table above).

SUICIDE AND MISFORTUNE PREVENTION
You may check the birth animal and hour of yourself, your love ones and friends to see if they were born in a suicide prone hour. There are only two possibilities:

Matching the suicide prone hour: you may want to advise this person and people around him/ her to avoid putting too much pressure or unrealistic expectations on this person. Tell him or her to relax and take it easy, especially during the unfavorable hours (and day) listed in the table above. This is especially relevant for parents who put too much pressure on their children for academic success.
Does not match the suicide prone hour: The hours listed in the table are the less favorable time or inauspicious (also in terms of month and day). People should avoid using those timing to make major decisions or taking risks.

Bazi: "Tears flow when there is a fan-yin or fu-yin" 返吟伏吟泪淋淋

There is a Bazi saying, "Tears flow when there is a fan-yin or fu-yin, hurting other people if not oneself". ( 返吟伏吟泪淋淋，不伤自身也损他人)

In Bazi, "fan-yin" occurs when there are two antagonistic pillars fighting on both stem and branch level in a chart or with a pillar from a luck period. For example, a chart with Jia-zi pillar and there is Geng-wu pillar in the natal chart or from a luck period.

"Fu-yin" occurs when there are two identical pillars in a chart. This will amplify the power of the elements in these pillars. For example, a chart with Jia-zi pillar and there is another Jia-zi pillar in the natal chart or from a luck period.

In general, fan-yin is inauspicious because disasters or misfortune may occur to the daymaster (DM). Fu-yin could be positive if the elements in the pillars are favorable. But if unfavorable, will double the negativity.

Below are different types of fu-yin:

FU-YIN WITHIN THE NATAL CHART

Year- and month pillar fu-yin: Dwindling ancestral fortune during DM's early years. DM suffers during childhood. Parents suffer misfortunes and legal problems. Male DM may become a monk or priest.
Year- and day pillar fu-yin: Both male and female DM jinx spouse severely. DM should marry someone with the same birth year to avoid jinxing spouse.
Year- and hour pillar fu-yin: DM jinxes senior generation and does not see grandparents alive. DM will jinx his children during old age or lack karma with his children.
Month- and day pillar fu-yin: DM jinxes close relatives with unstable marriage and emotions. S/he is insecure with shaky family life.
Month- and hour pillar fu-yin: DM has a fluctuating career that is stagnant and and facing obstacles.
Day- and hour pillar fu-yin: DM has unstable marital life and lonesome during old age. His/ her adult children seldom stay near him/ her.

ANNUAL LUCK FU-YIN WITH NATAL CHART PILLAR

Annual luck pillar fu-yin year-pillar: DM is not suitable for long trip/ traveling. Everyone will have this year-pillar fu-yin when turning 61.
Annual luck pillar fu-yin year-pillar: DM's parents are at risk. They should pay attention to both mental and physical health.
Annual luck pillar fu-yin year-pillar: DM or spouse may have misfortune or losing wealth.
Annual luck pillar fu-yin year-pillar: children may have misfortune or DM suffers misfortune during old age. Pay attention to career or money management.

You can also decode more information from the fu-yin by analyzing the transformation stars ("10-gods") represented by the fu-yin pillars.

ANNUAL LUCK FU-YIN AND FAN-YIN WITH 10-YEARS-LUCK

Annual luck pillar fu-yin 10-years-luck-pillar: Classic Bazi wrote "disaster strike at once" when this condition shows up. However, it is likely happen IF the fu-yin pillar elements are unfavorable ("annoying god"). If favorable, it will double the auspiciousness or benefits.
Annual luck pillar fan-yin 10-years-luck-pillar: Two luck pillars fight against each other. This could be major disasters in career or physical health/ body injury.

Feng Shui: What does your door-facing enhance?

Door is the main conduit of energy or qi entering into a residence. There are many methods of evaluate the quality of this energy and what goodies that it brings to the residents.

Today is your lucky day because you will find the rarely published secrets of this door Feng Shui method.

Below are the door facing direction and what it enhances:

East-facing door enhances academic pursuits as long as the southeast side of house has no missing corner or caving in. This house will enhance the academic performance or "wen-chang" of its residents.
South-facing door benefits women residents as long as the west side of house has no missing corner or caving in. This house will enhance the luck of its female residents.

"Ken, which Feng Shui school does this door-facing theory is based on?"

This is top secret (will show up in my "Practical Door Feng Shui" course discussion group). Here is a hint: It is based on flying the door-facing star in a certain way. You can easily reverse engineer it and trace the patterns by drawing 8 charts. This school uses the term "big golden dragon" (大金龙) to describe certain thing.

The interpretations here are based on 8-trigrams (pre- and post-heaven bagua) and 5-elements theory.

When to fire your boss or change job

"When will I change job, get a promotion, get a raise" and the likes are popular questions during a Bazi reading. People have never asked me when they get a demotion or salary cut.

Today is your lucky day, below are the secrets of career and income changes.

You may have career and income changes when:

1. Annual luck or 10-years-luck period clash or combine with the power star (Zheng-guan/qi-sha) in your Bazi chart: +Power star stands for your current stable job and -power for unsteady job. If power star is favorable to your chart, it implies the change is in the negative direction like demotion, salary decrease or harsh working environment. If power star is unfavorable, it implies the change is in the positive direction like promotion, salary increase or improvements in working environment.
