Bazi: Winners and Losers of 2018 Year of Dog- Part 1

Wu-xu or year of earth-dog will arrive in less than 2 weeks.  People may be interested in finding out if this dog year is good or bad for them.  This article briefly explains who will be "winners" or "losers" in this dog year in terms of their Bazi natal chart.  Read the appendix of following link if you want to find out your natal chart info:

THE "WINNERS"-- earth is favorable to natal chart 
Wu-earth and xu-earth are both earth elements.  So 2018 wu-xu year is a year with strong earth energy.  If the favorable element or "yong-shen" of your natal chart is earth,  2018 will be likely "rock and roll" or great for you.  Below is what earth luck means for different daymasters (DM).

1. Earth means peers (bi-jian/ jie-cai) for Wu-earth and Ji-earth DM-- helpful friends, siblings, colleagues and wealth luck for these people.   
2. Earth means output/ talent (shang-guan/ shi-shen) for Bing-fire and ding-fire DM-- good creativity/ performance/investment luck and help from junior generation for these people. 
3. Earth means wealth (zheng-cai/ pian-cai) for Jia-wood and Yi-wood DM-- with extra strong earth this year,  very good wealth luck for these people.  For men, this could also mean good romance luck too.
4. Earth means power (zheng-guan/ qi-sha) for Ren-water and Gui-water DM-- good career luck for these people.  For females, this could also mean meeting Mr. Right.
5. Earth means resource  (zheng-yin/ pian-yin) for Geng-metal and Xin-metal DM-- good mentor/study luck, fame and help from older generation for these people.  

Charts with chen-xu clash may not be too negative because earth is favorable.  But dirty laundry like hidden affair or illegitimate child may be exposed in open.

For the same reason, charts with chou-xu-wei 3-penalties may not be negative.  It may be even positive like sudden fame or fortune showing up.

As usual, you need to look at the whole natal chart with luck periods to see the "whole picture" and not just look at the earth factor alone.  For example, if your chart has gui-water combining wu-earth into fire and wu-fire also turning (combining) xu-earth into fire---  suddenly your chart has more fire and not the good earth!
