Bagua Questions: Pre-heaven, Middle-heaven and Post-heaven
In 2011, I wrote about the 1000+ years mystery of "middle-heaven bagua" that is supposedly the human level of bagua.
http://kenlaifengshui.blogspot.com/2011/09/in-search-of-human-bagua-i.html
http://kenlaifengshui.blogspot.com/2011/09/in-search-of-human-bagua-ii.html
A German reader wrote me about this middle-heaven bagua. But I have a policy of not answering emails from people that I do not know (except placing course orders). But he is so persistent, so I post his questions here for anyone interested to answer. Other than correcting some minor misspellings, the following is taken verbatim from his email.

PS: Ken's comment: These are profound questions good enough for a few PhD dissertations.

Dear Master Lai,
I am a private researcher of yjing the last 20 years. Because of studying
a variety of books with contrary views and theories – I am lost and frustrated
over the years.
When I read your blog and statements on the web, I got the impression, that you really have the fundamental plain true basics.
I would be pleased and thankful for your help.
My main questions are:
1. is the houtian superpositioned on the xiantian bagua or the other way round to generate the 64 hexagrams?
2. How come the sixiang into being ? Through the middle line of a trigram, combined from earlier and later bagua, or through luoshu / hetu number grid. Is sixiang a combination from both arrangements? You spoke of a middle gua?! Or is sixiang build from the other /uppermost bagua?
Does young yang stand in the east with lower line yin and upper yang or is it the other way round. Same for young yin in the west?
3. how does the nine palaces (eight houses) are connected in generating the 64 hexagrams?
I would be so happy to get your reply and support.
Best regards from Germany,

Pregnancy Feng Shui and House Missing Corners
Winston Churchill had a famous saying, "We shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us." It describes the interactions and influences between residents and the layout or design of the building. This is the bread and butter of architects.
In Feng Shui, we have a similar notion of how house-shape affects the organic well-being of the occupants. A house can project its characteristics onto the body and even social relationship of the occupants. For example, a house with missing northwest corner is likely to be a house without a male breadwinner or at least with a weak one. Occupants are likely to have respiratory-related illness.
In this post, we focus on precautions for pregnant woman in terms of house missing corners.
FIRST PREGNANCY
If this is your first pregnancy and know the baby is a boy, make sure the east side of your house is not a missing corner. East or Zhen direction represents the eldest son.
If this is your first pregnancy and know the baby is a girl, make sure the southeast side of your house is not a missing corner. Southeast or Xun direction represents the eldest daughter.
If this is your first pregnancy and do not know the gender of the baby, make sure the east and southeast side of your house have no missing corners.
SECOND PREGNANCY
Second pregnancy is a little bit complicated because you need to consider the gender result of first pregnancy.
If this is your second pregnancy and know the baby is a boy AND previous birth is also a boy, make sure the north side of your house is not a missing corner. North or Kan direction represents the second or middle son. If the previous birth is a girl, make sure east side is not missing.
If this is your second pregnancy and know the baby is a girl AND previous birth is a boy, make sure the southeast side of your house is not a missing corner. If the previous birth is also a girl, make sure south side is not missing. South or Li direction represents middle daughter.
If you do not know the gender of the second pregnancy, make sure north, east, southeast and south side do not have missing corners.
THIRD PREGNANCY
If this is your third pregnancy and know the baby is a boy AND previous two births are also boys, make sure the northeast side of your house is not a missing corner. Northeast or Gen direction represents youngest or third son. If previous two births are both girls, make sure east side is not missing.
If this is your third pregnancy and know the baby is a girl AND previous two births are boys, make sure the southeast side of your house is not a missing corner. If previous two births are both girls, make sure west side is not missing. West or Dui direction represents youngest or .third daughter.
If you do not know the gender of your third pregnancy, make sure north, south, east, west, southeast, and northeast sides are not missing.
If this is your forth pregnancy...... you are too "productive" and probably overworking yourself to death either in bed or at work!
Consult a Feng Shui practitioner or take my "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui" course for remedies.

Sneak Preview: "Applied Bazi: Sickness Forecasting and Management"
After
10+ years of working on this project, I get everything done except
creating the DVD menus. This "monkey" finally will off my back soon.
The first incarnation of this course was "Health and Wealth Bazi". It was taught once in Mexico City in 2006. The "wealth" part was kicked out and concentrated on health and sickness. Now it has only 10% of it resurfaces in the new course.
This course has:
-- close to 600 case studies (hard to find even in Chinese books/ courses)
-- demonstrations of speed chart reading with visual color charts
-- 32+ hours HD video (92 video segments, most are within 30 minutes or less)
-- a reference manual
-- a case studies manual
(over 720k keystrokes to type)
Course objectives:
-- life/ bucket list planning
-- health insurance planning
-- life insurance planning for businesses and individuals
-- health and sickness monitoring/ managing
-- some metaphysical cures/ remedies to mitigate the sickness
-- enhancing reader's Bazi reading skills
-- predicting major misfortunes (severe sickness could also mean major misfortunes if sickness does not occur)
One
may "miss" good fortune and still survives but not misfortune. So
knowing when the "big one" may occur may help you survive.
While
not everyone of you here is interested in sickness prediction, but the
techniques for making predictions for other aspects of life events are
similar due to the interchangeable representations of 5-elements and 10
transformation stars ("10 gods"). You will learn diverse techniques in
this course and can easily transfer the learning to other aspects of
your Bazi investigation.
How
much is this course? I have not finalized the price yet. Based on
the effort expended, rarity and limited audience, the final price
should be around US$2000.
This course would take 15 days of live seminars and costs US$7000+ before hotel/ airfare and lost wages (or costs you US$100k+ to write your own).
I
rarely get excited for what I have done. This is the rare exception. I
know I may be remembered for this work long after I had gone to heaven
(or hell).
