Secret of Mark Zuckerberg's Closet

Yesterday Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, has posted a photo of his closet with only grey color T-shirts and black hoodies. The mass media, from TV news, newspapers, websites, tweets to blogs, have a field day of poking fun at Mark. The media try to explain why Mark likes grey color-- using utilitarian, nerd, genius to psychopath explanation.

This is a piece of cake if explaining it in terms of Chinese astrology.

Chinese cosmology maintains that the world is created with 5 natural elements-- earth, metal, water, wood and fire. All living things thrive under the interplay of these 5 elements. These elements nurtures and controls each other in terms of nurturing and controlling cycles (see diagram in the right).

Chinese astrology like 4-Pillars classifies people in terms of five natural elements-- earth, metal, water, wood and fire. One's birthday determines his/ her birth element. Mark Zuckerberg was born in May 14, 1984. He was born in a strong earth day. So he is a "strong earth" person. A strong earth person needs metal and water energy to balance his birth chart energy.

For an earth person, metal is his creativity and talent because earth produces metal. Grey is the color of metal in Chinese metaphysics. Metal condenses or produces water. Water color is black in Chinese metaphysics. Water is the wealth element for an earth person. In other words, grey color represents Mark Zuckerberg's creativity. For a strong earth person, he needs to relieve some earth energy to achieve balance in his birth chart. This means producing metal or using his creativity. This creativity in turn produces water or wealth.
