Secrets of changing "house period" or "Heaven's Heart"

Below is an excerpt from the chapter on "Secrets of changing 'house period' or 'Heaven's Heart'" of the upcoming new course "Period 8-9-1 Feng Shui Period Upgrade and Property Purchasing Bible".

IMPORTANCE OF "PERIOD"

The time dimension of some Feng Shui schools, especially those under the San Yuan banners, follows the 180 years cycle (divided into 3 Yuans/ 9 Periods). San Yuans mean three 60 years cycles with Upper, Middle and Lower Yuan. Each Yuan is sub-divided into 3 periods of 20 years each. Currently (2020, when this chapter is written) we are under the Period 8 of Lower Yuan which will end in 4 years. This period changing issue becomes critical if someone plan to buy a property before 2024. Any new property buyer may NOT want his or her property becomes "not Feng Shui timely or auspicious" after 2024 when Period 9 arrives.

Most schools would pay varies degree of attention to the concept of "period"-- the period when the house was constructed or when the residents moved into the house. Flying Star Feng Shui pays most attention to the period idea because it will determine the quality of the house chart.

"Period" is important because it determines which star is "timely" or auspicious. For example, in Period 8, the 8-white earth star is "timely" and 9-purple star is "future timely" or second auspicious. Flying Star Feng Shui prefers having the "timely" water star in the facing and "timely" mountain star in the sitting (followed by the "future timely").

Assuming now is P8 and your P8 house is designed to take advantage of the 8-white earth star, but by 2024, 8-star will no longer be timely or auspicious. Flying Star has some methods to "change the period" of a house to rejuvenate the qi or energy of the house (to be discussed in the video).

Bazhai or 8-Mansions Feng Shui does not really care about the period of a house and neither adhere to the concept of changing the period of a house. The primary concern is the main door and bedroom are put in one of the four auspicious sectors of the house. Some versions of Bazhai Feng Shui may incorporate the Purple White annual chart to explain the activation of events.

Basic Bagua Feng Shui cares about the concept of period but has no provision of changing the period of a house. It does, however, suggesting moving the door to the auspicious direction of the current period, i.e., for Period 8, put door in the northeast and Period 9, put door in the south.

Purple White Feng Shui also cares about the period concept but has no mention of changing the period of a house. Similarly to Flying Star, it suggests putting the door in the timely or auspicious star location.

HOW TO CHANGE THE PERIOD OF A HOUSE

There are many methods to change the "period" or "heaven's heart" of a house. Below are some traditional methods:

1. Make a hole in the roof above the center of the house and let sunshine shine through for certain number of days (from 7, 49 or 100 days, depending on Feng Shui school).

2. Move away and let the house empty for certain number of days (from 49- 100 days).

The methods listed above may be too expensive or not possible to do (like if you live in a multi-storeys building shared with other tenants). Check the course video to see some inexpensive methods of changing the period of a house.

Wealth Storage vs. Wealth Tomb

Below is an excerpt from the chapter on "Wealth Tombs/ Storages" in the course manual of "Visual Bazi: Wealth Secrets & Maximization".

Earth branches Chen, Xu, Chou and Wei are called “4-storages” or “tombs”. The absence or presence of “storage” is one way of evaluating if a person or DM is capable of learning metaphysics or “holding on” the wealth DM made.

DM's elemental nature determines which one of the storage elements is his/ her wealth storage. What one controls is wealth, so a metal DM controls wood, wood is his/ her wealth element. The "generic" wood tomb-storage is wei.

For our purposes here, we use the common tomb-storage definition listed in table below.

If a chart has zero storage, we could make a general inference of DM is likely has problem holding on to his/ her money. If a chart has more than 2 storages, DM likes to hoard things and does not throw anything away. If a chart has all the 4 storages, DM may be very wealthy.

Hence, the presence or absence of tomb-storage elements, especially wealth storage, is a major criterion to check if someone has potential to be wealthy because wealth tomb-storage reflects the ability to retain or keep wealth.

DISTINGUISHING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOMB AND STORAGE

Chen, xu, chou and wei are collectively labeled as "4 tomb-storages". But when a tomb-storage is "tomb" and when is it a "storage"?

Let's use metal DM as an example to illustrate the tomb and storage concepts. Metal's tomb-storage is chou-earth. When metal-qi is strong in the chart, chou becomes metal's "storage". Chou "storage" makes metal even stronger, awaiting the right time to prosper. When metal-qi is weak in the chart, chou becomes the "tomb" of metal. Chou "tomb" makes metal even weaker-- equivalent to metal's "death".

WEALTH STORAGE AND WEALTH TOMB

CLASHING WEALTH STORAGE

As stated in previous section, a tomb-storage element is a "storage" when the element is strong or has support in the chart. A wealth storage means a chart has relative strong wealth energy in a chart.

There is a Bazi saying, "Chart with wealth storage must be clashed to get wealthy" (财有库，不冲不发). The following profiles like clashing wealth storage:

Standard profile with strong DM
Standard profile with strong DM and strong wealth star
Special profile with wealth star as FE

When 10-years-luck and/ or annual luck clash wealth storage of these charts, DMs are likely to make major wealth. For example, wealth storage of a wood DM is xu, when 10YL or AL brings in chen is called "wealth storage running into clash 财库逢冲".

Generally speaking, strong DM with strong wealth stars and wealth storage, s/he is likely to have saving in bank ("storage"). If there is no wealth storage in natal chart but when luck period brings in a wealth storage, DM still can save up some money in the bank ("storage") during that luck period.

Meanings of 10-Stars and Luck Periods Fu-yin 大运流年伏吟

"Fu-yin" in Chinese metaphysics means "identical" or "duplicate". Fu-yin can be positive OR negative depending on the Fu-yin element is favorable or unfavorable to the chart.

Below are the meanings of 10-years-luck or annual luck Fu-yin different elements in a natal chart:

1. Fu-yin hour pillar 伏吟时柱
-- long trip, travel, pregnancy or giving birth
2. Fu-yin day pillar 日支伏吟
-- one person becomes 2 person (falling in love, getting married)
-- two persons become 1 person (separation or lover leaving overseas)
3. Fu-yin unfavorable element 伏吟忌神
-- suffering, pain, illness; DM wants to separate self into 2 halves; crying, moaning
4. Fu-yin favorable element 伏吟喜神
-- double the happiness, joy
5. Star representing family member Fu-yin 六亲星伏吟
-- major illness or death for that relative
6. Spouse star Fu-yin 配偶星伏吟
--separation or divorce; losing spouse or running away
7. Power star Fu-yin 官杀伏吟
-- weak body/ health; female has love problems with numerous ups and downs
8. Resource star Fu-yin 印星伏吟
-- unstable work and home location
9. Peer star Fu-yin 劫比伏吟
-- stormy relationship with peers; peers do not have stable jobs; DM is socially active with many friends; DM may lie occasionally
10. Output star Fu-yin 食伤伏吟-- insubordinate to superior; rebellious; seeking changes; starting a business
11. Wealth star Fu-yin 财星伏吟-- money or relationship problems; male has love problems with ups and downs

House center Feng Shui is very important!

Typical Feng Shui audit or courses focus on door, bedroom, kitchen, interior design/ placement and external environment. They seldom examine or place sufficient attention on the house center or center palace of the house.

Where is the center of a house? Is it a virtual "point" or a "palace"? The center point can be calculated using geometry over house plan.

House center is important because it is like the "heart" or "energy reactor" of the house. Improper placement or design will affect the health and fortune of occupants.

Below are center palace Feng Shui precautions:

Center should be kept clean: do not put garbage can, pet house/ litter or clutters there. If there is filthy smell in the center, it can easily spread around the house.
Center should be quiet with no movement-- do not put electric appliance there to create electric or sound wave. This may disrupt the qi flow of the house.
Center should be bright and not dark-- this affect family luck. Add lighting if center is not bright enough.
No stairway in center-- this is considered a Feng Shui sha. It is like someone walking on the heart of this house. It causes accidents, gossips, illness and obstacles to the residents.
No fishtank or moving water in center-- center palace is like the "heart" of a house. Heart is "fire" in Bazi and TCM. Water extinguishes fire. House with water feature in center palace is likely to create heart problems for the residents.
No large plants in center palace-- center palace is earth in nature in pre-heaven bagua. Plant is wood which controls earth.
No kitchen in center-- center is the "heart" of the house. Kitchen and heart are both fire in nature. But frequent cooking will make fire too strong and create heart and blood problems for the residents.
No bathroom or toilet in center-- This is the worst for house center. House center is the "heart" and also energy circulation center and dislikes pollution from a toilet. I have seen a few cases of resident (mostly breadwinner of the house) with toilet in house center died of terminal illness. There are limited cures-- ask your teacher or take:
