Feng Shui Battle: Flying Scissors Vs. Big Cannon 大炮對飛剪

A house owner in China had found his neighbor putting up a pair of sharp scissors and mirror facing his front door.  He had responded with a big cannon pointing at the neighbor.

From the pictures, we can guess how this Feng Shui battle is activated.

The "cannon house" has a big 6 panels RED door with 2 lions guarding.  In terms of Form Feng Shui, this red door looks like a giant bloody mouth engulfing anything in its path to this neighbor.  This might, at the least, subconsciously affects the hormonal health of the neighbor.

Red color is regarded as auspicious in Chinese culture.  However, putting too much or excessive red color in the main door of a house could draw misfortune to its residents.

Red also represents fire and blood.  Misfortunes like sickness, fire and bloody events when annual star like 2-sickness, 5-disaster or 9-purple fire lands on the door region.

Could the flying scissors with mirror overcome this strong fire energy?  Of course not.  Fire burns the metal scissors.  The mirror is flat which draws the fire image (and energy) TO the "scissor house".  Hence the "cannon house" does not really need the cannon to counter this flying scissors.  But it helps to drain excessive fire energy by "burning" the metal cannon.

My "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui" course has a chapter on Feng Shui battle.  It can help you to handle Feng Shui battle like this one using inexpensive and low profile everyday items.  In this case, we can help the "scissors house" to turn the hostile fire energy into supporting energy without using hostile or noticeable remedies (3 possible fixes are posted in the "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui Discussion Group").

Headache caused by a painting

Note:  Below is a case study posted in my Feng Shui discussion groups:

Here is an interesting case study from China 30+ years ago.

A two storeys house in a village with two boys and a male owner.  At first the father had headache, then the elder boy also had headache, followed by the younger boy.

They had consulted a few hospitals and could not find the cure or cause of this headache.

When modern medicine could not help,  the owner thought it must be due to Feng Shui.  So he had called a Feng Shui master to check his house.

The Feng Shui master could not find any problem with the house except seeing a painting of a tiger walking down the mountain hang in the NW side of the house.

The master asked, "Does your headache come after this painting is hanged in NW side of your house?"

The owner had answered yes.

Master told him to put the painting away and store it in a drawer.

No more headache occurred for the males in this house afterwards.

Can you explain why?  This is a simple Bagua representation topic.

Feng Shui tips:  Avoid putting pictures or paintings of fierce animals like tiger and lions INSIDE your house.  In this tiger scenario, resident with Chinese zodiac monkey sign is very likely to get hurt.  If you have to put one up, put the painting facing the door outside.

Feng Shui: Wealth-losing doors 破财门

Door location and its surrounding critically affect the Feng Shui of a house, especially its wealth aspect.  Below is a list of "wealth-losing doors" based on Form Feng Shui.  How these doors affecting wealth losses is not discussed here to keep this blog short.

WEALTH-LOSING DOORS
1.  Door facing a corridor (inside a building) or road:  this is also called "heart-piercing sha" (一剑穿心 ).
2.  Door facing a downward or upward stair:  this is called "wealth retreating stair" (退财梯).  Downward stair leaks wealth whereas upward stair loses wealth opportunities to others.
3.  Door facing an elevator:  this is called "qi or energy absorbing stair" (吸气梯).  Qi or wealth energy of a house or apartment is "drawn" away by the elevator.
4.  Two or more doors in a straight-line to end of house or backdoor/ window:  Wealth energy from outside goes straight to outside of house.
5.  Door is too narrow or small, thus limiting wealth energy flow into the house.
6.  Door is damaged, broken or has cracks:  this is called "qi-leaking door" (漏气门) and implying leaking wealth.
7.  "See-three door" (三见门):  "Three" here means seeing toilet, kitchen and mirror when entering through the door.  All are not good for wealth energy.

Remedies for these doors are mostly using screen doors.  Consult a Feng Shui practitioner or take my Form Feng Shui course for remedies.

Using Feng Shui to "manage" your husband 御夫风水

Originally, I want to use the word "control" instead of "manage".  But "control" sounds manipulative and politically incorrect....

Ladies!  Today is your lucky day if your husband drives you nuts or bosses you around.  The cavalry is coming to your rescue with this little taught husband management Feng Shui.  It is based on simple Form Feng Shui theory of green dragon and white tiger (not elaborated here, take my "Visual Form Feng Shui" course if you want to know more).

FENG SHUI FEATURES THAT MAKE YOUR HUSBAND DOMINANT
1.  Too many furniture is put in the left side of your house
Fix:  move some furniture to the right side of your house; make it a balance if you want an egalitarian relationship
2.  Most activities taking place in left side of your house
Fix:  arrange more activities to the right side of your house
3.  Bedroom door is in left side of bed
Fix:  move your bed so that the door is at the right side
4.  Bedroom location is close to a road with traffic
Fix:  relocate your bedroom
5.  Stove has no support mountain (back side of stove is a window)
Fix:  relocate your stove to place it with a wall at its back
6.  Husband sleeps close to window side or open side of the bed (this will increase his peach-blossom and authority)
Fix:  switching sleeping location with husband
7.  Toilet in southwest side (SW represents woman of the house)
Fix:  stop using this toilet or at least keeping it clean

STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS FOR MALE-DOMINANT FENG SHUI
Below house features will contribute to male chauvinism to a marriage.  Avoid these features when buying a house.  If you already bought the house, consult a Feng Shui teacher or take my "Visual Form Feng Shui" course for remedies.
  • Southwest side of your house is a missing corner
  • Northwest side of your house has a big protrusion
  • Left side of your house is much bigger than right side
  • House on top of a hill (no support and makes husband more dogmatic)

"Ken, do you have "wife management Feng Shui"?  Woman can be bossy too."

Smart men can see this is a BOGO article with "wife management Feng Shui" already embedded.  Simple do the opposite of the list above, like change right back to left or northwest to southwest.

May the Auspicious Qi  be with you.

Winning Feng Shui for small group gambling

The tips below are for increasing the probability of winning in small group gambling like table games (blackjack, poker and the likes) and Chinese mahjog.  These games are characterized by a small group of people, usually less than 10,  sit around a table and play.

I deliberately do NOT explain the rationale behind the tips below (take my "Visual Form Feng Shui" course if you are curious).  You may understand the theories behind if you have studied Feng Shui.

FENG SHUI TIPS FOR SOCIAL GAMBLING
  1. Sitting location:  Your back must have a wall or a tall object as your "back support".  It must not be empty or your wealth luck will suffer.
  2. Facing:  Your facing direction must be open and wide.  It is even better this open space is connected to the main door to receive wealth energy from outside. This affects the magnitude of your wealth luck.
  3. See no toilet:  Your facing must NOT seeing/facing a toilet.
  4. No toilet at your back: Your back location must not be a toilet.
  5. Round table:  If sitting around a round table, sit at the side that has a wall.
  6. Square table:  If sitting around a square or rectangular table, sit at the side with a wall.  If the side has two seats, sit at the right side.  If the side has 3 seats, sit in the middle.  If the side has 4 seats, sit at the third seat (counting from the left), if you cannot get the third seat, sit on the 4th seat.
  7. Avoid traffic:  If you cannot get the ideal seat, avoid the seat on the side with walking traffic at your back.
  8. Time-out:  Take a break to "recharge" your energy when someone keeps winning (to interrupt his winning streak energy) or you keep losing.

These tips have been tested and found high accuracy in predicting who will win or loss in small group social gambling situation.

Similar principles can be applied to casino situation.  Avoid dealer with a back support like a wall or tall object.  Sit at the right side of a table (but make sure there are people in your left side) and avoid opening/ door at your back.  Unfortunately, it is rare to find back support/ wall for gamblers in casinos.  So at the least, find a dealer with an empty space at his back, the bigger the better.

A student of mine has combined Imperial Qi-Men-Dun-Jia and Bazi to win slot machines in casinos.  His winnings are more than enough to pay for my courses and more.

Disclaimer:  There is no guarantee for anyone to win in any gambling situation.  The author of this post will not be responsible for any losses/ profits resulting from any application of the tips listed in this post.

Bad Feng Shui seen at the door

Below is a list of inauspicious Feng Shui images that you do not want to see upon entering one's house or at the door.

  1. Greet by a wall-- may cause obstacles in life and declining luck
  2. See a mirror-- deflects away good energies coming into the house and absorbs negative energies into the house
  3. See a toilet--  greeting guest with foul energy; attracting bickering and disharmony among family members
  4. See a stairs--  leaking energy and wealth
  5. See bedroom--  attracting lust and affairs
  6. See the kitchen-- causing lawsuits, wealth losses and hot temper
  7. Walks under heavy beam over the door--  disunity among family members and dwindling luck
  8. See the balcony through the door-- leaking qi or energy, hurting people and failure to accumulate wealth and keep people in the family
  9. See 3 doors in a straight line--  "sword piercing heart sha" that hurts people and loses wealth
  10. See piles of shoes/ garbage-- negative qi suppresses residents' luck; difficult life for the residents and attracting "mean people" or backstabbers.
  11. See objects like knife, sword, gun, tiger, snake and etc.-- unsettling family with bloody events and lawsuits

Most of the above are under traditional Form Feng Shui area.  Consult a Feng Shui practitioner for remedy or take this course:

Pregnancy Feng Shui and House Missing Corners

Winston Churchill had a famous saying, "We shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us."  It describes the interactions and influences between residents and the layout or design of the building.  This is the bread and butter of architects.

In Feng Shui, we have a similar notion of how house-shape affects the organic well-being of the occupants.  A house can project its characteristics onto the body and even social relationship of the occupants.  For example,  a house with missing northwest corner is likely to be a house without a male breadwinner or at least with a weak one.  Occupants are likely to have respiratory-related illness.

In this post, we focus on precautions for pregnant woman in terms of house missing corners.

FIRST PREGNANCY
If this is your first pregnancy and know the baby is a boy, make sure the east side of your house is not a missing corner.  East or Zhen direction represents the eldest son.

If this is your first pregnancy and know the baby is a girl, make sure the southeast side of your house is not a missing corner.  Southeast or Xun direction represents the eldest daughter.

If  this is your first pregnancy and do not know the gender of the baby,  make sure the east and southeast side of your house have no missing corners.

SECOND PREGNANCY
Second pregnancy is a little bit complicated because you need to consider the gender result of first pregnancy.

If this is your second pregnancy and know the baby is a boy AND previous birth is also a boy, make sure the north side of your house is not a missing corner.  North or Kan direction represents the second or middle son.  If the previous birth is a girl, make sure east side is not missing.

If this is your second pregnancy and know the baby is a girl AND previous birth is a boy, make sure the southeast side of your house is not a missing corner.  If the previous birth is also a girl, make sure south side is not missing.  South or Li direction represents middle daughter.

If you do not know the gender of the second pregnancy, make sure north, east, southeast and south side do not have missing corners.

THIRD PREGNANCY
If this is your third pregnancy and know the baby is a boy AND previous two births are also boys, make sure the northeast side of your house is not a missing corner.  Northeast or Gen direction represents youngest or third son.  If previous two births are both girls, make sure east side is not missing.

If this is your third pregnancy and know the baby is a girl AND previous two births are boys, make sure the southeast side of your house is not a missing corner.  If previous two births are both girls, make sure west side is not missing.  West or Dui direction represents youngest or .third daughter.

If you do not know the gender of your third pregnancy, make sure north, south, east, west, southeast, and northeast sides are not missing.

If this is your forth pregnancy......  you are too "productive" and probably overworking yourself to death either in bed or at work!

Consult a Feng Shui practitioner or take my "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui" course for remedies.

Strange Feng Shui remedy of a Flyover Sha

Note:  I have just posted this message in my "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui" discussion list.

A 6-storeys tall building is near a flyover which is taller than the building in a Tai-yuan city, Shangxi Province of China.

A few days ago, within a few hours, the building becomes an 8-storeys building!

When look closer, the new "storeys" are spray-printed image of storeys on canvas on a metal frame.

The reason for this new addition is because numerous non-old-aged residents had died of cancer in last few years.  The residents suspect it has something to do with the flyover and seek the help of a Feng Shui master.

The master said the flyover is higher than the building and "suppresses" the blessing for the building.  He suggests making the building higher than the flyover as remedy.

After the "instant growth" of the new canvas "storeys", the building is 10cm taller than the flyover.  70+ households in the building have paid for the expenses involved.

Do you think this remedy will work?

Will the fix make things better or worse?

If you were the FS guy, what would you recommend instead?

Find your personal wealth location based on birthday

Today is your lucky day again!  After reading this post, you will find a more precise way of locating your personal wealth location (PWL) based on your birth day.  PWL is only effective for you and not other residents of your house.

Firstly, you need to log in bazi-calculator.com to find out the "day stem" or "daymaster" (DM) of your birthday.  DM is your birth element.  Simply key in your birthday and click "calculate".  Look at the chart in the left side of the screen.  The "day pillar" is the third column (counting from the right!) with your birth day # at the top.  Your day stem or daymaster (DM) should be one of the followings:
  • Jia or Yi-- wood element
  • Bing or Ding-- fire element
  • Wu or Ji--  earth element
  • Geng or Xin-- metal element
  • Ren or Gui--  water element

After finding your DM element, check the following diagram for your personal wealth location:

How to find your personal wealth location (PWL)
1.  Find your DM element based on your birthday, for example, Ren-water DM.
2.  In our example, Ren DM PWL will be in S2 or south sector (15 degrees region)
3.  Jia and Yi-wood DM have more than one PWL.

Important notes on personal wealth location
1.  PWL should not be in a missing corner -- consult your Feng Shui guy for remedies or take my “Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui” w/23 hr. HD video
2.  PWL should not located in a door or window area.
3.  PWL should be kept clean and no clutter
4.  PWL should be bright
5.  You may put wide leaves plant or wealth symbols in your PWL
5.  If PWL overlaps with other wealth location, it will double the effect
6.  If PWL branch element is unfavorable to your Bazi chart, it will have no wealth effect for you.

Feng Shui: Big tree in front of main door

"Big tree" here means trees with a 12 inches/ 25 cm or larger diameter trunk.

Some city governments, like Toronto in Canada, specifies home builders to plant a tree in front of the main door of each new house.  After 10 years or so, these small trees become big trees with serious Feng Shui implications.

Below are some notes taken from "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui" manual:

1.  A tree in front of the main door is called "heart piercing sha" or "tree god blocks road" is very bad Feng Shui.  It stands for blockage in life and illness like liver problems.

2.  If there is a tree in the left side of the main door, it is called "green dragon tree".  It stands for protection, nurturing and male helpful people/ mentors.

3.  If there is a tree in the right side of the main door without a corresponding sized tree in the left side, it is called "white tiger tree".  It stands for dominant women in the house, negative peach-blossom (mistress) or unwelcome female guests.

4.  Tree located in front of main door resonates with residents inside the house.  If branches has problem, someone inside the house will have hand or tendon problem.  If the tree trunk has problem, resident’s body may have corresponding problem.  If the trunk is drilled a hole, someone in the house will have surgery or bleeding ulcer.

5.  Seeing willow trees in front of main door— residents are likely to have mental problems.

6.  Dying trees in front of main door—stands for blood related sickness, especially bleeding ulcer.

7.  Trees near windows should not have branches growing into or touching the windows-- this may cause eye problems to the residents.

8.  Tree touching the roof of a house-- moving-in guests do not want to leave.

For remedies and cures, either consult your Feng Shui teacher or take this course:

Feng Shui that turns a woman into a bossy wife

"Bossy" is a politically correct term for "bitch" here.  Below are Feng Shui conditions that will increase the dominance or power of women in a house.  These Feng Shui conditions are not necessarily negative IF the women are subservient to the men in a family and modify their house Feng Shui to make men less dominant.

FENG SHUI CONDITIONS THAT INCREASE WOMAN DOMINANCE
  1. Kitchen is bigger than bedroom.
  2. The total size of kitchen and dinning room are bigger than the living room
  3. Wrong main door color:  In Feng Shui, main door direction is the "red phoenix" direction and should use "yang" or brighter color.  Back side is the "black tortoise" with "yin" or low profile color. What this means the main door facing outside should be in bright color ("yang") and the back of the door should be dark color.   If the front door is in black or darker color, the "yin-yang" is inverted and promotes "yin" or woman power in the house.
  4. Right side of your house is bigger than the left side (or left side has missing corner):  Left side represents man and right side the woman of the house.  Bigger right side means the woman has more power over the man.
  5. Assuming the left and right side of the house are equal in size, but the right side has more stuff like heavy furniture and activities there.  These would also increase female dominance.
Now women can blame Feng Shui for being bossy.  Men can said bad Feng Shui make them not standing up to their bossy wives.  Self-esteem of all the parties is restored.  But the best remedy is to hire a Feng Shui practitioner to fix these problems OR take my "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui” w/23 hr. HD video.
