Headache caused by a painting

Note: Below is a case study posted in my Feng Shui discussion groups:

Here is an interesting case study from China 30+ years ago.

A two storeys house in a village with two boys and a male owner. At first the father had headache, then the elder boy also had headache, followed by the younger boy.

They had consulted a few hospitals and could not find the cure or cause of this headache.

When modern medicine could not help, the owner thought it must be due to Feng Shui. So he had called a Feng Shui master to check his house.

The Feng Shui master could not find any problem with the house except seeing a painting of a tiger walking down the mountain hang in the NW side of the house.

The master asked, "Does your headache come after this painting is hanged in NW side of your house?"

The owner had answered yes.

Master told him to put the painting away and store it in a drawer.

No more headache occurred for the males in this house afterwards.

Can you explain why? This is a simple Bagua representation topic.

Feng Shui tips: Avoid putting pictures or paintings of fierce animals like tiger and lions INSIDE your house. In this tiger scenario, resident with Chinese zodiac monkey sign is very likely to get hurt. If you have to put one up, put the painting facing the door outside.

Why major fortune and misfortune happened within the same year?

Note: The case study below is an exercise for my Bazi group members

The birth of a baby is considered a celebration. Death is a major misfortune. Both were happened within the same year for the female below.

This woman was pregnant with her second child in 2013 (gi-si). The first born is a girl. Her husband was killed by 2 cars sandwiching his car in a traffic accident before the birth of his second baby boy in 2013.

The Bazi chart of this woman is as follow:

Female born: Feb. 19, 1980, Mao hour

YEAR: Geng-shen

MONTH: Wu-yin

DAY: Ren-xu

HOUR: Gui-mao

void branch: zi/ chou

10-YEAR-LUCK

1984 ding-chou

1994 bing-zi

2004 yi-hai

2014 jia-xu

Husband had died during

10-YEARS LUCK: Yi-hai (2004- 2013)

Annual Luck: Gui-si (2013)

Does this woman's chart show any clue about her husband's death?

Let's talk dirty or money

Will you be very happy if you run into a box of cool cash like this one?

But if you find out that you cannot enjoy this cash until you have died.........

This box of cash looks like U.S. Dollars but actually is a version of Underworld currency or "joss paper money" for the dead. This offering of joss paper money to the deceased is popular among Chinese in Southeast Asia.

The $10,000 currency above is issued by the "Hell Bank" with the portrait of the Underworld Emperor. It beats the $500 denomination of U.S. Dollar joss paper money with Ben Franklin portrait by 20 times.

With online marketing, there are competitions in Underworld U.S. Dollar joss paper money. You may go to AliExpress website to check.

There are denominations of US$100 to 1 Million in the joss paper money section of AliExpress. For US$5, you can get 250 pieces of US$1M denomination joss paper money issued by Heaven-Hell Bank. Five real U.S. dollars for 250M of underworld U.S. Dollars! What a deal made in hell!

There are also 5000 British pounds and 50,000 Euro denomination of joss paper money.

With different underworld currencies, the dead now can have their own FOREX trading to keep them busy.

Now comes to the million dollar questions:

Do our deceased love ones really receive the joss paper money that we offer to them?
If the answer is "yes", do these "money" worth much in underworld given the arbitrary value assigned.
If the answer is "no" or "no idea", what purpose does burning joss paper money serve?

From the perspective of the living (us!), this approach shows our remembrance, love and care to the deceased provides peace, emotional balance and even redemption to us regardless whether the deceased receive the offering or not.

From the perspective of the deceased (assuming souls of the deceased continue to live on), this show of remembrance, love and care from the living love ones is what counts most. The amount of offering and value of joss paper become insignificant. After all, the living project the material needs and desires on this earth to the spiritual world, which may not be true or needed.

My Daoist Sifu (teacher) told me when preparing joss paper for offering, make sure the love ones of the deceased touch all the joss paper money or fold the paper gold nuggets, to imprint their qi or energy on the paper. This energy is what makes the deceased feel comfort and loved.

What NOT to do when your luck is bad 衰运忌讳

According to Bazi or 4-Pillar astrology, one's major luck direction (good, average or bad) changes once every ten years. In others words, your current good or bad luck will not last forever!

This article shows you what NOT to do during your bad luck period:

Making major decisions that are hard to reverse, especially investment decisions: You are more likely to make the wrong decisions during your bad luck period.
Changing job frequently: This make you look bad in your work history or resume.
Loaning money to people: Your money is likely to disappear!
Gambling or making speculations: You are more likely to lose your shirt when in bad luck.
Attending funerals: Attending funeral will increase the negative energy around you. Just send flowers or donation instead of attending the funeral.
Violating laws and not following rules: You are likely to get caught if you try to take illegal shortcuts during your bad luck period.

Physical Misfortune: Injury vs. Sickness 伤灾与病灾

Physical misfortune here refers to bodily harm attributed to the interactions or specific conditions of 5-elements inside one's birth or Bazi chart. This bodily harm is further distinguished by whether it is a "sickness" or "injury" caused by this Bazi condition. Both sickness and injury could possibly lead to death, but in general, injury could result in quicker death like in an auto accident.

The question arises: How do we tell if the physical misfortune of a chart is an "injury" or "sickness"?

This article is written for my "Sickness Bazi" course members. Here I show you how to identify potential injury misfortune in a Bazi chart reading. This one is more complicated than spotting out sickness misfortune.

CHARACTERISTICS OF INJURY MISFORTUNE

This is characterized by two elements with strong energy battling each other without a mediator to dissipate the animosity. For example, a chart with strong water and fire elements but no wood to mediate.

Below is a list of 2-elements battling and possible injuries:

Metal and wood battling: limbs, tendon, bone and head external injuries
Wood and earth battling: skin and muscle injury; injury from falling object
Wood and fire battling: burn by fire or hot object, also bloody injury
Metal and fire battling: bleeding injury with scars later on.
Water and fire battling: bleeding, burnt and traffic accident.
Earth and water battling: landslide or flooding injury/ death; drowning

Sickness misfortune is much easier to discern. Smart readers here could have figured out already. If not, take this course:

"Single Ding-fire or lone Jia-wood implies blindness or lameness" 单丁独甲不瞎也跛

In traditional China, street Bazi readers, especially the blind ones, has a saying:

"Single Ding or lone Jia implies lameness or blindness." (单丁独甲，脚跛眼瞎)

"Male is scare of single ding and female is afraid of lone jia." (男怕单丁, 女怕独甲)

What it means is: when a Bazi birth chart has only one ding-fire and/ or one jia-wood, the chart owner ("daymaster" or DM) is likely blind or lame. Further extended meanings are: DM or DM's close relative is likely to have chronic or long term illness or disability.

"Chronic or long term illness" refers to illnesses that have no cure but require long term care and medication like hypertension, heart diseases, stomach ulcer, asthma and the likes.

"Disability" here refers to missing a certain body parts like chopped finger, facial scars, broken limbs and the like.

If ding-fire or jia-wood represents +output star (shang-guan) or power stars (zheng-guan/ qi-sha), the disability or injury will be a major one. If not, the effect will be minor.

This "single ding and lone jia" theory is not based on any logic but empirical observations. People with this chart condition, they or their close relative are likely blind, lame or suffering long term illness. If they have not run into this problem during their younger years, they are likely to suffer such event during middle or old age.

You can check if your Bazi birth chart has single ding or lone jia easily even if you know nothing about Bazi. Simply log into www.bazi-calculator.com, key in your birth day and birth hour and click the "calculate" box. Then you check the Bazi chart in the left side of the screen for red box or green box like the ones shown here.

If you have only one red ding-fire box or one green jia-wood box OR you have 1 red ding-fire and one green jia-wood box-- you hit the minor misfortune jackpot. If you have 2 or more red ding-fire boxes or 2 or more green jia-wood boxes, you are OK.

There are Bazi guidelines to decipher:

who suffers (the chart owner or his/her close relative)?
which type of illness?
where in the body (organ or body part) suffers?

Bathroom location and related sickness 厠所与疾病

Bathroom is probably the most likely location to spread germs and bacteria in a house if hygiene is neglected.

A few days ago, there is an article on how the University of Arizona predicts COVID-19 outbreak by checking the sewage system of its campus buildings.

In Chinese Feng Shui, we can predict the likely illnesses associated with the location of toilet.

This article discusses the likely illnesses attributed to specific bathroom locations.

BATHROOM IN:

North: Residents are prone to ear, blood, kidney, reproductive and excretory system illnesses. Middle son or middle-aged male family member is likely to get these illnesses.
South: Residents are prone to eye, heart and blood related illnesses. Middle daughter or middle-aged female family member is likely to get these illnesses.
East: Residents are prone to hand, foot, liver, gallbladder, eyes and nervous system sicknesses. Elder son or late middle-aged male family member is likely to get these illnesses.
West: Residents are prone to mouth, respiratory organs, lungs, throat, teeth and skeleton related illnesses. Youngest daughter or teenager female member is likely to get these illnesses.
Northeast: Residents are prone to skin, nose, hand, foot, stomach, spleen and intestinal illnesses. Youngest son or teenager male member is likely to get these illnesses.
Northwest: Residents are prone to mouth, respiratory organs, lungs, throat, teeth and skeleton related illnesses. Household male head or oldest male in the house is likely to get these illnesses. Bathroom in this location may create runaway/ weak husband and no husband for single female household.
Southeast: Residents are prone to hand, foot, liver, gallbladder, eyes and nervous system sicknesses. Elder daughter or late middle-aged female family member is likely to get these illnesses. Bathroom in this location also affects academic and career performance of the residents.
Southwest: Residents are prone to skin, nose, hand, foot, stomach, spleen and intestinal illnesses. Household female head or oldest female in the house is likely to get these illnesses.
Center: This is the worst location for a bathroom. Center is like the "heart" of a house and should be kept quiet, clean, minimized movements, no heavy objects, no staircase and no bathroom. Sickness like heart problem and acute illness resulting in death may occur to the residents if a bathroom is put in this location. This is also the most difficult problem to fix here. Walk away if you find a new house with a bathroom in the house center.

You should know how the above illnesses are derived if you know the representations of Bauga or "8-trigrams" in Chinese metaphysics.

You may consult your Feng Shui teacher or practitioner for remedies. Simple and inexpensive remedies are posted in my Feng Shui discussion groups. Membership for the group requires taking at least one Feng Shui course from Ken Lai.
