Toilet Feng Shui and sickness

The location of toilet in a residence can affect the health of its occupants.  Below are the association of toilet location and type of illnesses according to Chinese Feng Shui.

TOILET/ BATHROOM LOCATION AND ILLNESS

Toilet is an indispensable feature for modern living, so illnesses caused by toilet is unavoidable.  The remedy is simple and inexpensive.  Ask your Feng Shui teacher for suggestion.

Bathroom location and related sickness 厠所与疾病

Bathroom is probably the most likely location to spread germs and bacteria in a house if hygiene is neglected.

A few days ago, there is an article on how the University of Arizona predicts COVID-19 outbreak by checking the sewage system of its campus buildings.

In Chinese Feng Shui, we can predict the likely illnesses associated with the location of toilet.

This article discusses the likely illnesses attributed to specific bathroom locations.

BATHROOM IN:  

1. North:  Residents are prone to ear, blood, kidney, reproductive and excretory system illnesses.  Middle son or middle-aged male family member is likely to get these illnesses.
2. South:   Residents are prone to eye, heart and blood related illnesses.  Middle daughter or middle-aged female family member is likely to get these illnesses.
3. East:  Residents are prone to hand, foot, liver, gallbladder, eyes and nervous system sicknesses.  Elder son or late middle-aged male family member is likely to get these illnesses. 
4. West:  Residents are prone to mouth, respiratory organs, lungs, throat, teeth and skeleton related illnesses.  Youngest daughter or teenager female member is likely to get these illnesses.
5. Northeast:  Residents are prone to skin, nose, hand, foot, stomach, spleen and intestinal illnesses.  Youngest son or teenager male member is likely to get these illnesses.
6. Northwest:  Residents are prone to mouth, respiratory organs, lungs, throat, teeth and skeleton related illnesses.  Household male head or oldest male in the house is likely to get these illnesses. Bathroom in this location may create runaway/ weak husband and no husband for single female household.
7. Southeast:  Residents are prone to hand, foot, liver, gallbladder, eyes and nervous system sicknesses.  Elder daughter or late middle-aged female family member is likely to get these illnesses.  Bathroom in this location also affects academic and career performance of the residents.
8. Southwest:  Residents are prone to skin, nose, hand, foot, stomach, spleen and intestinal illnesses.  Household female head or oldest female in the house is likely to get these illnesses.
9. Center:  This is the worst location for a bathroom.  Center is like the "heart" of a house and should be kept quiet, clean, minimized movements, no heavy objects, no staircase and no bathroom.  Sickness like heart problem and acute illness resulting in death may occur to the residents if a bathroom is put in this location.   This is also the most difficult problem to fix here.  Walk away if you find a new house with a bathroom in the house center.

You should know how the above illnesses are derived if you know the representations of Bauga or "8-trigrams" in Chinese metaphysics.

You may consult your Feng Shui teacher or practitioner for remedies.  Simple and inexpensive remedies are posted in my Feng Shui discussion groups.  Membership for the group requires taking at least one Feng Shui course from Ken Lai.

Feng Shui: Bad locations for bathroom

There was no plumbing in ancient China, bathroom was put outside the house.  With modern plumbing and flush toilet, bathroom is integrated into the house interior. 

Bathroom is important in Feng Shui because it is where wastes or negative qi/ energy accumulates and removed.  Every resident in a house uses the bathroom everyday.  The location of bathroom affects the health and luck of the residents of the household.

The locations below are where NOT to put your bathroom:

1. Southwest location:  This is the location of Kun trigram in Feng Shui.  It represents the oldest female or mother of the house.  A bathroom in this location will affect the health and luck of the mother.  It also affects marital relationship of the couple.
2. Northwest location:  This is the location of Qian trigram in Feng Shui.  It represents the oldest male or father of the house.  A bathroom in this location will affect the health and luck of the father.  It also affects marital relationship of the couple and career of the father.
3. Northeast location:  This is the location of Gen trigram in Feng Shui.  It represents the youngest male or son of the house.  A bathroom in this location will affect the health and luck of this son.  Gen trigram also represents the current Feng Shui Period 8 luck for the house.  This may affect the overall luck of the household.
4. South location:  This is the location of Li trigram in Feng Shui.  It represents the middle daughter or 30+ years old female of the house.  A bathroom in this location will affect the health and luck of this female mother.   Li trigram is fire in nature and bathroom is water in nature.  This will create water and fire clashes that may give rise to disasters and accidents to the residents.
5. Center location:  This is the worst location for a bathroom.  Center is like the "heart" of a house and should be kept quiet, clean, minimized movements, no heavy objects, no staircase and no bathroom.  Sickness like heart problem and acute illness may occur to the residents if a bathroom is put in this location.   This is also the most difficult problem to fix here.  Walk away if you find a new house with a bathroom in the house center.

House Feng Shui that makes you poor

If your financial situation gets tough and tougher and the problem is not due to your destiny or natal chart, it could possibly be the Feng Shui of your house.

Below are some possible reasons that you are poor:

1.  Main door and back door (or window) form a straight line with nothing in between
-- Wealth energy and auspicious qi flow from the main door and leave your house through the back door or window. Residents do not get any benefit.

2.  Main door faces the main door of another house
-- If the energy of your door is weaker or overcome by the opposing door, your luck will tank.

3.  Bathroom/ toilet door faces kitchen door
-- clean water of the kitchen clashing "dirty" toilet water:  bad for health and wealth luck.

4.  Living in basement for extended periods
--  "Underground" living affects the residents psychologically and emotionally.  It is bad for relationship and wealth luck

5.  Right side neighbor is much higher than your house
-- This is called "white tiger overwhelms green dragon"白虎压青龙.  White tiger stands for "mean people" and lawsuits.  This stands for sickness, bad wealth luck, backstabbing and legal problems for the residents (not to mention a overwhelming wife!). This situation also applies to a house with much bigger right side or right side has tall power tower, flyover or chimneys.

6.  Missing corner in northwest side of the house
-- Northwest side stands for career luck which affects the male residents more.  Missing corner in northeast also has similar effects.

7.  Main door facing stairway or elevator
-- This cause unstable flow of energy affecting wealth luck or causing difficulties in creating wealth.

8.  Too many doors or corridors in the living room
--  Living room is the "inner ming-tang" of the house representing wealth potential (especially for apartments).  Too many corridors or doors in the living room will leak the wealth energy or cannot accumulate qi.

9.  Cracks on the walls
-- If there are cracks in the back wall of bed or living room, this condition is equivalent to damages in "supporting mountain" and affecting wealth luck.

10.  Water tap or faucet dripping/ leaking or pointing to outside
--  Water stands for wealth in Feng Shui.  When the water tap or faucet leaks water in a house, it symbolizes leak wealth for the residents.  If the tap points to outside of house, it also implies water flowing outside the house.

Feng Shui for attracting extra-marital affairs

If you want to have a stable marriage, make sure the follow Feng Shui conditions do not exist in your house:

1.  Empty flower vases in your house, especially worse if it is put in the "peach blossom" locations of the couple (please check past articles in this blog for these locations).

2.  House facing a "V-shaped" roads-- what does "V-shaped" look like?  Use your imagination.  The couple may have his or her own "extramarital" activities.

3.  Seeing bathroom upon opening main door-- attracts negative "peach blossom".

4.  Dragon side (left) is much bigger or has more stuff than tiger side of the house-- this makes the husband more powerful than the wife and ignores her feelings and needs.

5.  Water/ water items in west side-- this usually cause negative peach blossom for the females of the house.  West is the peach-blossom direction in Feng Shui.  (Note: If west is the right side of the house with a pond or big fountain, someone may die of severe illness or accident.  This is called "white tiger looks at mirror.")

Some of the above conditions are difficult to remedy yourself.  Get a competent Feng Shui practitioner to fix it for you.

Ken Lai's Minimalist Feng Shui Guide for Home Buying

This minimalist Feng Shui guide is for the ultra lazy (and/ or busy or cheap) people.  The goal is not to maximize good Feng Shui but to avoid bad Feng Shui when buying a house.  If you can avoid the following 3 Feng Shui problems, your new home Feng Shui should be at least "livable" with no major problem.

1.  Do NOT buy a house with main door facing a T-junction or reversed bow-shaped road.
A house sits at the intersection of a T-junction-- this dash of energy or "sha-qi" will disrupt the energy field of the house negatively.  It may cause accidental death or severe sickness like cancer for the residents.  It also causes dwindling luck, shrinking family size and legal problems.  

2.  Do NOT buy a house with northwest corner missing.  Northwest sector represents the oldest male or bread-winner of the house.  Missing NW corner will affect his luck and well-being.  He could die prematurely and does not like staying at home.  Single woman will have problem keeping a man in this house.


  

3.  Do NOT buy a house with toilet in center of house.  House center is like the heart of a house-- put a toilet there is like polluting its heart.  It will affect the health of the residents, like acute sickness leading to death.
 
Likewise, a toilet in the NW section is also bad for the oldest male resident of the house.  Woman of this house will have relationship problem or cannot keep a man.  She "flushes" away her relationship whenever using the toilet.

These 3 big Feng Shui "no-no" are proven again and again.  Don't laugh it off.
