On the date of this tragic event, I had posted the birth chart and date chart of the assassination in my Bazi discussion groups. Here is the question that I asked my students:
"Can you point out the Bazi factors leading to this shooting?"
Here are some of the responses: (colored texts are my comments)
Response#1. "Abe’s DM is geng. The combination of yin wu and xu produced a strong fire at the current summer season and it’s lured out by the Bing at the hour pillar. The fire attacked the DM geng. Doesn’t help that his current luck pillar is also geng chen."
"Would it be a different scenario if there was earth to protect the metal? And thus, not succumbing to his injuries? "

If you look deeper, not enough earth left to drain fire; also there is a catch-22 here. This is obviously a strong DM. Supporting elements are unfavorable. Earth can turn fire into supporting element but making DM even stronger.
Response#2. 1) Hour both fire elements, probably is the cause of death - 2 fire shots.

You may look at it this way. There are two yin-wu-xu fire 3-unities in the big chart. Two wu can be seen as double-shoots to Abe.
Bing harms Geng (2 Bing = Bang Bang)

Incident day hour Bing controls geng DM, plus incident day branch xu clashed day-branch chen. DM'a day-pillar was attacked from top to bottom.
2) 10Y luck pillar Geng Chen clash with Day pillar Geng Chen. (Fu Yin)

Yes, but fu-yin is not clash. DM is likely strong DM, so this fu-yin is unfavorable.
Also interesting to note during Wu Yin 10Y luck pillar he take office as PM

This is a yang-ren (-peer) chart, with qi-sha and resources, likely to be high rank official
3). Shooting also happens during Ren Xu day - clash with Geng Chen (Dog clash Dragon)
4). Tiger - Dog - Horse (san he combination) but I don't understand the effect of it

Not really, look deeper, a major secret hidden in this case!

"BTW, I'll chip in with 3x commanding pillars adding authority to Fire power clash, earthquake clash 2x Chen vs 1x Xu, Wu-Wu self-penalty, competing Wei-Wu-Wu combination, You-Xu harm, Xu-Wei damage/penalty day, Ren+Ding make Wood to strengthen Fire, Earth dry and cracked, no support for Geng. Didn't look at Shen Sha for Knife's or anything though, just throwing everything at the wall and see what sticks 😊"
Response#4. "If he was in a fu yin luck pillar, that's a big one. If the hour was Bing, that's a clash. The Xu, Yin, Wu combo could also take him out.
Yes...agree. Think he was a good man. Will fight for injustice, deep thinker, got along well with other, but also knew who he was. So sad."
Response#5. Others have already made some good points so I won't duplicate here. I think the keys are Fu Yin, Yang knife clashed and just too much Fire clash (7K). Too unstable.
The Rooster is already pulled between the two Dragons. Does that compromise the combination that protects him from yang knife?

By theory, this is a "jealous combination" resulting in no combination. This becomes chen-chen self-penalty
Tiger year is also attacking the Dragons.
The Dog clashes the Dragon.
The Horse attacks the Rooster.
The timing of the event pulls in the Rabbit which clashes the Rooster (yang knife). The chart becomes unstable.
The Tiger and Dragon attract Rabbit: 寅卯辰

Gong-ju 拱局 with mao-rabbit happens only when yin and chen are next to each other.
Rabbit is also attracted in by 未, 午, and 戌
The shooting has to do with differences about ideology? The shooter is offended by him? I think the Rabbit is the invisible player here.

Mao is +power (zheng-guan) to a Geng DM, this would be a lawsuit if mao and not an assassination
The Water is too weak and compromised to protect him.

Water in this case "provokes" or "instigates" strong fire.
Response#6: Chart and current time create two flows of elements fire has two combinations--Wei (month)-Wu (chart) and Wu-Yin-Xu -fire; and the combination of Chen-You (chart) metal and 10LP Geng-Chen fu-yin; fire metal fight explosion-shot of a weapon; Water is the element of resolution; Water is present but combination Ding (month)/ Ren day and year turns into wood or trapped elements. Gui in his chart produces wood (depleted); wood produces fire and then fire can strikes metal. And Bing Wu time and chart Geng in the month of You yang-ren!

Above discussions have pretty much listed all the possible interactions in the birth chart with the incident date chart. But which factors or interactions are the main attributes to this assassination? Could this be prevented if a date-selection or Bazi reading is done before the event?
