Easy wealth enhancement with your living room

Note:  Below is an article that I wrote for my Feng Shui groups a few days ago.

In Feng Shui, the front yard or ming-tang (a.k.a. "bright-hall") of a house is its "wealth potential".  The bigger the ming-tang, the higher is its wealth potential.

But modern apartments have no ming-tang.  Instead, the living room is the "inner ming-tang" and also the wealth potential of its Feng Shui.

Hence, you want your inner ming-tang as big as possible, even for house with a front yard.  You also keep it clean and bright for wealth enhancement.

I have been conducting an experiment on using inner ming-tang to enhance wealth in the last few months.

I am an night owl and work in late nights when there is no interruptions.  In the past, I just turn on the lights in my work area.  The living room lights were off since no one was there.

My experiment is simple-- turn on all the living room lights while I work at night even no one is there.  Essentially, living room lights are always ON during the night when someone is awake.

Result:   Money does NOT rushing in, but coming in gradually (if I get-rich-quick using this method, I likely will not bother to write this post!) .  It does not make you rich.  But you can feel overall income increases gradually if you compare it with past statistics.  My course sales usually is low after Christmas and New Year (people have credit card bills to pay after the new year).  But this year it is much better than last year due to an influx of new students.

To save electricity with this wealth enhancement method, I use LED light bulbs which consume 10% of electricity to that of traditional tungsten light bulbs.  9W LED bulb (60W equivalent) costs US$1 each or less in USA now.  The upgrade cost will pay for itself with saving in electricity, not to mention the possible wealth enhancement bonus.

You do not need to turn on your living room light when there is no one in the house.  Feng Shui needs human presence to have effect.

More reasons why your house does not accumulate wealth

I have written on this topic a few weeks ago and here are some more reasons that a house does not accumulate wealth for its residents (all pictures are taken from "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui" video course):

1.  Seeing backdoor from the front door location:  Energy, including wealth qi, is leaking through the backdoor.  This situation is also called "heart-piercing sha" in Form Feng Shui.

2.  Missing dragon side:  There is no house or "dragon" in the left side of your house.  Dragon means "helpful people/mentor".  This could also mean there is a big missing corner in the left side of your house or the left side is much lower than the right side.

3.  Houses at the dragon (left) and tiger (right side) of are much higher (2 storeys+) than your own house.


4.  There is no back support like another building or mountain for your house.  This means the residents lacks courage to take risks, lacks support and problem accumulating wealth.

5.  Sloping "ming-tang" or front yard.  Ming-tang stands for the wealth potential of a house and it slops away means problem keeping wealth.

6.  "Roll-away curtain water 卷帘水" in front door:  When one sees a long stairway once stepping out from the front door, the stairway is called "roll-away curtain water".  It means losing wealth and children leaving home and do not return.

7.  "Dragon water exits":  When there is a road (with traffic) at the left side of the house and the left front side also has a road sloping to the left-- this is called "dragon water exits".  This means helpful people go away.

Does your house have problems accumulating wealth?

How does a house "leaks" wealth or have problems accumulating wealth?

The following are ways that a house "leaks" wealth:

1. The first thing one sees when opening the front door is the stove
2. Seeing another door or windows directly upon opening the front door  (leaking wealth)
3. Too many windows in the living room (leaking energy/ qi)
4. Too many windows in the bedroom (leaking qi, not accumulating qi)
5. Wealth position* has a sink/ water tap (leaking wealth)
6. Living room is small (indoor ming-tang, limits wealth potential) 
7. Space outside the main door is very small (limits wealth potential)
8. Tall building or mountain in front of house, creating pressure to residents
9. There is a beam over the wealth position (means working very hard for money)
10. There is a road at the back of the house  (leaking qi)
11. There is a road at the right side of the house (leaking qi/ wealth)

Stock-trading Feng Shui Secrets

The followings are some main points for people who do stock trading or speculation.  No detail explanations are included for brevity.

1.  Your computer desk should be placed in the "wealth position" of your house/ office or at least your personal "wealth position" (check my previous posts on how to locate your wealth position).
2.  The front space of your desk is called "ming-tang" which represents wealth potential in Feng Shui.  The bigger the better.  Hence, your computer desk should not face a wall or a narrow space.
3.  Your desk should not be under a beam.  It is bad for both wealth and health.
4.  The back of your chair should not be a window or empty space.  It should be a wall acting as back support for you.
5.  Your chair or front of desk should not be "clashed" (facing) by a door or sharp object like a wall edge.
6.  Your desk should not face a bathroom door.
7.  Your waste basket should not be put in the green dragon or left side of the desk.  Green dragon symbolizes helpful mentors and dislikes dirt.
8.  You should put some wealth symbols (in terms of your own culture) on your desk.  You may put natural crystal to energize wealth energy too.
9.  The desk location should be bright and not dim.
10.  Donate some money to charity whenever you hit it big to replenish your blessing in heaven.

Actually the above pointers are also good for any office desk placement.

Lotto-buying Feng Shui Secrets

In Hong Kong, the Mark 6 Lotto is run by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.  It has "convenient" storefront stations around the city for citizens to bet on horse races and buy lotto tickets.  The station that has sold the most grand prizes tickets is located in the Stanley Street in the Central District of Hong Kong island.  It has sold 42 grand prizes tickets in the last 13 years.  This location becomes the "Mecca" of lotto buyers whenever huge jackpot comes up.

The upcoming lotto drawing on March 1, 2016 will have a jackpot of around HK$120 million (US$ 15.4M).  People are lining up around the Stanley Street lotto station for hours to buy their tickets.

According to Hong Kong lottery statistics, the number "10" has shown up the most-- 332 times in the last 13 years, followed by "49" and "9".  Number "19" is the lest popular, has shown up only 298 times, followed by "23" and "46".

The chance of winning grand prize for Hong Kong Lotto is 1 in 13, 983,816 or around 1 in 14 million.  Cost per ticket is only HK$10 or US$ 1.3.

The chance for winning USA's Powerball grand prize is 292, 201, 338 or 1 in 292 million; for second prize is 11, 688, 053 or 1 in 11.7 million.  Price per ticket is US$2.  That is, winning the second prize in USA is almost as "easy" as winning the grand prize in Hong Kong.  But second prize in USA gives the winner only US$1 million (HK$7.8M) plus deduction from around 40% of taxes.  For Hong Kong winners, there is NO tax and the winning is not an annuity.  So the Hong Kong jackpot is almost 40% more proportionally if comparing to US lotto winning.

Now comes to the Feng Shui secret of lotto buying.  It is pretty simple if you know some basic Feng Shui principles.

A lotto station represents the Lotto establishment.  Therefore it's Feng Shui conditions will affect the well-being of the establishment.  In other words, if you want to maximize your chance of lotto winning, purchase your tickets from a station with bad Feng Shui.  Take the Stanley Street Lotto Station for example, the front area of the station is a very narrow street.  The front area or "ming-tang" shows the wealth potential of a location in Feng Shui.  With a small front area means limited or little wealth potential for the owner (Lotto establishment).  This means a better chance to win for the lotto buyers.

Other signs of bad Feng Shui would be checking the location's front and back door, toilet location, cash register, layout and manager office locations.

Update:  The winning numbers for the 3/1/2016 Hong Kong Mark 6 Lotto are: 11, 16, 19, 21, 30, 33 and the special # (or Powerball in USA) is 31.  There are 5 tickets hitting the jackpot with each getting around HK$27M (US$ 3.5M).   Total ticket sales are HK$446M (US$ 57M) and the government only takes 25% from the total sales.
