2021 Minimalist Feng Shui Guide

People with ram and ox animal sign should avoid seeing corpse being put into coffin or lowering into the tomb.

Remedy for 5-yellow disaster (in SE this year) and 2-black sickness star (in North)-- copper or brass objects.  No fire or red object and avoid movements in these regions.

West region (8 wealth star) is good for money this year.  Sleep or sit there more often to attract wealth.

If your house is facing NE1 (Chou mountain) or Grand Duke direction, you may need to avoid movement there or Grand Duke talisman from your local Daoist temple or from me (please check my post on Grand Duke Talisman).

If you need to do construction in the forbidden regions of this year, you need to find a Feng Shui practitioner to do a date-selection or at the least, do NOT start digging at the forbidden direction.

Move away or relocate your Feng Shui cures or monsters for 2020 before Feb. 4, 2021.

Feng Shui of Clock Placement

The essence of Feng Shui is about balance of static and dynamic elements around our living environment.

According to Yi-jing ("Book of Changes", the source of Chinese civilization),  "Auspiciousness and inauspiciousness are generated from movements 吉凶悔咎生乎动).  Hence the placement of moving objects in any location, especially inside your home, could affect the well-being of residents much faster than stationary objects.  Items like fish-tank, water-fountain, clocks and the like should be placed with great caution.

For this post, the focus is on clocks, but the principles for other moving objects are similar.

FENG SHUI PRECAUTIONS FOR CLOCK PLACEMENT

1.  One clock per room/location:  Too many clocks within a room will confuse the energy there.  People may feel uneasy or distressed.
2.  Clock shapes:  should be square/ rectangular or circular shaped.  Avoid triangular, hexagon and octagon shapes.  Odd-shaped clocks could generate bickering and arguments.
3.  Bed room clocks:  should be small and not too big.  Big clocks may cause distress and frequent separations for the couple.
4.  Big or grand-father clocks are not suitable for small home.  It creates imbalance visually and energetically.
5.  Clock should be placed in auspicious location and facing inauspicious direction to block and convert negative energy.
6.  Do not put movement (clock!) in 5-yellow disaster and 2-black sickness star locations or you will suffer disasters or sickness.  Exception is the grandfather clock with brass/copper bells which is the remedy of 5-yellow and 2-black stars.

People with snake and pig animal sign should avoid seeing corpse putting in coffin or burying into the ground.

Remedy for 5-yellow disaster and 2-black sickness star-- copper or brass objects.  No fire or red object in these regions.

Center region is good for money this year.  Sleep or sit there more often to attract wealth.

FREE ANNUAL ASTROLOGY/ BAZI GUIDE
People born in 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 and 2013 with snake animal sign clash Grand Duke this year.  This could mean:

• moving
• promotion or demotion
• major illness
• travels
• funeral
• accident/ death

Actually people with si (snake) day-branch in their Bazi charts are in more danger than animal sign clashing Grand Duke.  They are:  Ji-si, xin-si, gui-si, yi-si and ding-si day pillars. Day-branch stands for spouse palace.  This may mean marital problems (if married, spouse may leave or die) but also means getting married if single. 

In fact, any Bazi chart with Ji-si, xin-si, gui-si, yi-si and ding-si in any pillar of their Bazi chart have some troubles in terms of the family members each pillar represents.  To find if your chart has any one of these pillars, key in your birthday here:

People with Gui-si and Yi-si  day-pillars in their Bazi charts better pray more because their day-pillar fanyin Grand Duke (clashing 2019 Grand Duke from stem to branch).  This could mean major sickness, accident or disaster to the person or his/her spouse.  Avoid taking risks/ major decisions, attending funeral, visiting the sick in hospitals and unnecessary travels for this year of pig (2/4/2019- 2/3/2020).

One remedy for the above Grand Duke clash is to adopt a cat from your local animal humane society or rescue a stray/ homeless cat.  This is because cat is yin or tiger in Bazi.  Yin combines with Grand Duke Hai and neutralizes the clash.

Surviving construction at 5-yellow disaster star location

A few weeks ago, I was waken up by loud machinery noises of cutting and hammering from outside my home.  I went out and found that my dragon side (left) neighbor has contracted a construction firm to replace the vinyl siding and roof of his house.  Both were damaged by a hail storm earlier and insurance pays for the repair.  Essentially this neighbor has a "skin replacement" for his house.

Besides waking me up early for a week or more (I am a night owl), the biggest problem I see was a big part of his house is in the north-east side of my house.  5-yellow disaster star is in the NE this year.  Excessive noises and movement may instigate the wrath of this star, causing injury, accident, losing wealth and even death.

5-yellow star is earth in nature, the fix usually is metal or coin-salt solution.

I have searched my house for possible remedies and found a gold-colored calabash and some Chinese Qian-long coins.  Qian-long was one of the emperors during China's Qing Dynasty. This combination should do the job.

Normally I put six coins in a circle shape to neutralize 5-yellow star.  I was too lazy to take 6 coins out of my string inventory of coins.  So I have used all the coins (around 60) in the string and put it on top of the calabash.  I put this remedy combination in the NE region facing the construction site.   You may use your own local copper or brass coins instead.  Just make sure the denomination of the coin is not 25 cents, 5 cents, two dollars or 5 dollars each.

This roofing and siding job has taken about 10 days.  I am still in one piece and no major mishaps happened.  However, my sales suffered during the period.  But this is still better than losing an arm or leg.  You win some and lose some.
