Prep Guide for 2019 Year of Pig

Year of Pig will begin when spring solstice arrives at 11:16 am on February 4, 2019.  Below are something that you may do to avoid problems and increasing your luck for the new year.

1.  House-cleaning:  Do your cleaning in Feb. 4 because Chinese New Year will officially start on Feb. 5 this year.  Besides removing physical garbage, you do an qi or energy cleansing for your house.  If your luck really sucks (bad) in last year, open all the windows and doors of your house, boil some water, let water vapor fill up your house and let the vapor blow out through the windows to get rid of any stagnant energy inside your house.  Alternatively you can burn incense or sage instead of boiling water.

If Year of Dog is great for you, do NOT do the qi-cleansing.  You want to keep milking the existing good luck energy for another month or two.

2.  Feng Shui fixes:
a.  Move your monster (ki-lun, cannon, St. Michael, etc.) to west region facing region to fix San-sha (3-killing).
b.  Put your metal fix for 5-yellow disaster star in SW.
c.  Put your metal or calabash fix for 2-black sickness star in NE.
d.  Put a small red doormat in the entrance if you have a door facing south to fix 3-jade star.
e.  Put a bowl of non-moving water in SE if you have a door there to fix 7-robber star.
f.  Move your water fountain or wealth-enhancing item to center of the house.
g.  North is good for career and study, put 4 lucky bamboos there if you want to enhance it.

3.  Clashing Grand Duke:  People with the following pillars or chart features will be in serious problems during year of pig:
a.  Bazi chart with one or more of these pillars:  if the pillar is your day pillar, bad things likely will happen to you and/or your spouse, if in other pillars, happen to your family member represented by these pillars.
-- yi-si  (most serious)
-- gui-si
b.  chart with 2+ si (snake)
d.  Jia-wood daymasters:  prone to losing money due to affairs, especially males.
(Go to www.bazi-calculator.com, key in your birthday and check the day column in your birth chart to see if you have a yi-si, gui-si day pillar or jia-wood daymaster).  

Possible Remedies:  
1.  Consult a Bazi Reader.
2.  Print out the photo of 2019 Grand Duke from here and pray to him for protection or use the photo as screen saver in your cell phone or computer.  But you must do at least one act of kindness that reduces suffering of any living thing to activate this remedy.  "One kind act neutralizes hundreds of misfortunes.  Numerous kind acts dissolve thousands of calamities 一善解百災, 多善解千難" is the famous saying in Chinese.  You may make a donation to a charity, adopt or feed a homeless cat/dog/person or even visit old folks in senior home.
3.  People with yi-si or gui-si day pillars-- donate blood, if too weak to donate, at least do a blood test.

People with snake and pig animal sign should avoid seeing corpse putting in coffin or burying into the ground.

Remedy for 5-yellow disaster and 2-black sickness star-- copper or brass objects.  No fire or red object in these regions.

Center region is good for money this year.  Sleep or sit there more often to attract wealth.

FREE ANNUAL ASTROLOGY/ BAZI GUIDE
People born in 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 and 2013 with snake animal sign clash Grand Duke this year.  This could mean:

• moving
• promotion or demotion
• major illness
• travels
• funeral
• accident/ death

Actually people with si (snake) day-branch in their Bazi charts are in more danger than animal sign clashing Grand Duke.  They are:  Ji-si, xin-si, gui-si, yi-si and ding-si day pillars. Day-branch stands for spouse palace.  This may mean marital problems (if married, spouse may leave or die) but also means getting married if single. 

In fact, any Bazi chart with Ji-si, xin-si, gui-si, yi-si and ding-si in any pillar of their Bazi chart have some troubles in terms of the family members each pillar represents.  To find if your chart has any one of these pillars, key in your birthday here:

People with Gui-si and Yi-si  day-pillars in their Bazi charts better pray more because their day-pillar fanyin Grand Duke (clashing 2019 Grand Duke from stem to branch).  This could mean major sickness, accident or disaster to the person or his/her spouse.  Avoid taking risks/ major decisions, attending funeral, visiting the sick in hospitals and unnecessary travels for this year of pig (2/4/2019- 2/3/2020).

One remedy for the above Grand Duke clash is to adopt a cat from your local animal humane society or rescue a stray/ homeless cat.  This is because cat is yin or tiger in Bazi.  Yin combines with Grand Duke Hai and neutralizes the clash.

2019 Grand Duke Talisman Charity Drive

I have created a multi-years table for checking Grand Duke violations by birth year that you may use even after I had gone to see Buddha and Jesus.  You may plan ahead with this table. 

We still use the year 2011 old price for Grand Duke Talismans donation for this year.  But you may donate more to your favorable charity if you wish.

This year we start the drive early, so you may take advantage of your usual Christmas or new year donations to get a GD talisman (and income tax deduction, if any).

To check if you have Grand Duke violation, check the highlighted last row ("Pig") and check next section if you do not know your animal sign.

The animal sign with violations are pig, snake and monkey.  House facing NW3 or hai mountain may need some remedies.

CHECKING YOUR BIRTH ANIMAL SIGN

2019 GRAND DUKE VIOLATIONS

"Fu-yin" or same animal sign of Grand Duke 值太岁-- people with pig sign
Symptoms:  This is not a the worst violation.  People with this animal sign usually will not have serious mishaps.  They have have some minor health problem or mentally uncomfortable.

"Fan-yin" or "clashing" the animal sign of Grand Duke 冲太岁-- people with snake sign
Symptoms:  This is the worst violation.  People with this violation are likely to have: big fluctuations and changes in luck, wealth, career, relationship and health; traffic accident, sickness like kidney, uterus, surgery, losing competitions/wealth, moving, death,  negative romance, quarrels and etc.

 "Hai" or "harming" the animal sign of Grand Duke 害太岁-- people with monkey sign
Symptoms:  backstabbing at work, bad interpersonal relationship, marital disharmony,  jinxing close relatives (esp. older ones, spouse and children),  jealousy from others and minor health problems   

"Xing" or "penalizing" the animal sign of Grand Duke 刑太岁-- people with pig sign
Symptoms:  conflicts, backstabbing, injury, financial disagreements, lawsuits, scares, be careful with friends, romance problem and negative peach blossoms.

GRAND DUKE TALISMAN FOR FENG SHUI REMEDY 
House violating Grand Duke

In 2019 ji-hai year, if your house faces hai-pig mountain or NW3 (322.5 to 337.5 degree, ) direction, your house is said to be "violating Grand Duke."  House violating GD will affect the overall luck, health and well-being of the people living inside.  The remedy is either avoiding movements, construction, earth-digging and demolition there or put up a Grand Duke talisman facing NW3 direction.  The opposite side of Grand Duke is Year-breaker (Sui-po, SE1).  This location should avoid digging and activities too.
