Influences of unfavorable element in Bazi 八字忌神

In Bazi, unfavorable element or "annoying god" (ji-shen) refers to for an element that is detrimental to the person or "daymaster" (DM) of the natal chart owner.

Unfavorable element causes "imbalance" in a chart that may create misfortune, sickness and disasters.  One of the goals of Bazi reading is to find out one's unfavorable element and make preparations and remedies to mitigate its effects.  

The negative influences of unfavorable element can be observed from the ten transformation stars or "10-gods" representing these elements:

1.  Zheng-cai or +wealth star is unfavorable:  low wealth luck and salary or income, work/ career problems; high work output or effort with low return.

2.  Pian-cai or -wealth star is unfavorable:  poor luck in non-regular income, likely to lose money in gambling, speculations, stock and investments

3.  Zheng-guan or +power star is unfavorable:  problem getting promotion in career or official position; unlikely to work for government;  hard to rise through the ranks even if working for government.

4.  Qi-sha (pian-guan) or -power star is unfavorable:  Qi-sha represents "mean people", back-stabbers, illegal groups; prone to getting involved with Mafia-type people or being bullied; feeling pressure or being prosecuted; also lacking performance or achievement in career.

5.  Zheng-yin or +resource star is unfavorable:  stands for low academic background and performance; +resource star also represents helpful mentor or nobleman;  this person lacks helpful mentor and must be self-reliant to achieve success.

6.  Pian-yin or -resource star is unfavorable:  This represents the senior relatives of chart owner are not healthy and is prone to being dragging down or implicated by them.  This also means lacking relationship or communications with family members.

7.  Jie-cai or +peer star is unfavorable:  This stands for disharmony with siblings.  This person appears to have many acquaintances but few real friends.  This also means s/he tends to overwork.

8.  Bi-jian or -peer star is unfavorable:  This stands for siblings are likely financially unstable and not helpful to this person.  It also means s/he is likely implicated or dragging down by his/her siblings.

9.  Shang-guan or +output star is unfavorable: This person is prone to quarrel, dispute, gossip or scandal and likely to have sex scandal.  +Output star also stands for mental fatigue and tough working conditions.

10.  Shi-shen or -output star is unfavorable:  This stands for depression due to no one recognize or hire one's talent.  This could also mean one's thought is out of reality or unrealistic.
