Ken's Cyber Cave: 1/1/24 - 2/1/24

DO YOU NEED A GRAND DUKE TALISMAN?

1.  You need one if you have the following Chinese zodiac birth animal signs:

a.  HORSE (years born: 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014)

-- "Fu-yin" or same animal sign as Grand Duke; obstacles, stagnation or running "reverse" instead of forward and not suitable for travels

-- Penalizes Grand Duke; big fluctuations in luck, wealth, career, relationship and health; traffic accident, sickness, surgery, losing competitions/wealth, moving, death,  negative romance, quarrels and etc.

b.  RAT (years born: 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020)

-- Clashing Grand Duke; very serious; big fluctuations in luck, accident, sickness, surgery, losing competitions/wealth, moving, death, changing job

c.  OX (years born: 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973,  1985, 1997, 2009, 2021)

-- "Hai" or harms Grand Duke; could be serious for the person's relatives; interpersonal relationship problems, negative romance, marital problem, backstabbing , sudden death or disaster

d.  RABBIT (years born: 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023)

-- "Po" or breaks Grand Duke: backstabbing at work, over-consumption, no luck in non-regular income like gambling/ stock and success slips away in the last minute

2.  If ANY pillar of your Bazi natal chart has a "Zi" or rat:  Click the following link and enter your birthday and birth hour in the "birth chart" windows, to generate you Bazi natal chart.  Then check if there is any Zi or rat in the chart.  You only need to check the left side Birth Chart.  For example, this Dec. 29, 1948, 1:40 chart:

From right to left:  Year, Month, Day, Hour

-- This person is in big trouble this year with 3 zi or rat branches because Grand Duke clashes 3 of  the 4 pillars and penalize the Chou hour pillar.  This could be major misfortunes or even death.

MEANING OF GRAND  DUKE CLASHING EACH PILLAR:

1. Year pillar:  you or your senior relative may have obstacles or misfortune
2. Month pillar:  your parents or siblings may have misfortune
3. Day pillar:  you or your spouse may have misfortune, divorce or even death
4. Hour pillar:  your children or younger relative may be in trouble

You are strongly recommended to get a GD talisman if you have a rat in any pillar in your natal chart, especially the day pillar (Jia-zi, Bing-zi, Wu-zi, Geng-zi and Ren-zi).  A MUST if you have Ren-zi or Geng-zi day pillar because both you and your spouse are in danger.

In addition, 2026 Bing-wu year is the strongest fire year.  Even charts that like fire may have problem with it.  Strong fire can destroy anything including water.  It is associated with serious illness like tumor and cancer.  Do medical check up if your chart already has too much fire and/ or chou, wei and xu earth.

HOW TO GET THIS GD TAILISMAN?  This year we use digital delivery of Grand Duke Talismans. Ken Lai will create a GD Talisman, blessed and "activated" with your name on screen digitally in front of a Dou-Mou altar. Special Discount:  US$ 1999 if order and pay before January 31, 2023

With traditional Bazi, there is not much you can do when you see “bad luck” coming as forewarned by your Bazi chart.  The “old” way of destiny management was “sitting tight”, avoid taking risks or traveling during a “low luck” period.  This course will change the dynamics of luck and misfortune management.

Main objectives of this course:

• Predict upcoming good luck and misfortune and enhance or mitigate its effects using methods presented in this course.
• If misfortune has already happened, we try to limit or mitigate its effects with the tools and techniques included in this course.

The methods employed in this course are based on Bazi, Feng Shui, Yi-jing and other metaphysical methods.  Remedies and enhancements are inexpensive and readily available in our daily environment.  No religious belief is required though such belief may help.

The first edition of this course was released in 2009 with the title "Destiny and Luck Management: Basic/ Advanced Bazi Therapy".  The word "therapy" may have spooked some people away thinking it is medical stuff.  We rename this course for easy understanding of what it is about.  13 years of testing in the field gives us insight on what works better and updated this course with 30%+ more materials and case studies.  The manual pages is almost doubled.  New videos with ultimate secrets are added.  A "Fast-track" video edition is included for the advanced Bazi students to "dive in" without delay.

"Over-metaphysicalized person" 2022

NOTE:  This is an updated version of the same article written in 2011.

A "metaphysicalized person" is someone who uses metaphysics methods like Feng Shui, Bazi, ZWDS, Qi-Men-Dun-Jia,  date-selections, astrology, tarot cards, runes and the likes in some aspects of his or her daily life.

An "over-metaphysicalized person" is someone who will fine-tune every activity with metaphysics methods OR obsessed with maximizing the advantages from applying metaphysics to a major activity-- most likely in business or wealth enhancement aspects, interpersonal relationship or romance.  These people think that metaphysics is their ticket to solve all their worldly problems.

Because I teach Chinese metaphysics, some people thought that I have a magic wand or direct hot line to heaven.  They have requested me to help them move the slow-selling houses in an estate, selling a 50 feet yacht, defeating a spouse in divorce lawsuit, houses or even pushing up the margin call of stocks.

An average "metaphysicalized person" simply tries to enhance some aspects of his/her life with metaphysics whereas an "over-metaphysicalized person" attempts to get an upper-hand in almost every facet of life or in competitions for wealth.

I have clients who keep begging for new metaphysics techniques to enhance their wealth acquisitions.  I have told them that how much wealth one will acquire and enjoy is pre-destined.  By pushing for wealth, they may do "early withdrawal" from their life-time pre-determined wealth account.  They will die prematurely when their life-time account is drawn empty.  Check the following for a historical case:

Ken's Cyber Cave: Identical birthday and time, but one died earlier 祿盡人亡 (kenlaifengshui.blogspot.com)

You may not believe in this Buddhist view of wealth predeterminaton.  In Bazi or 4-Pillars, there is a term called "weak day-master cannot handle wealth".  Bazi classifies people into strong, balanced or weak "day-master".  People who belong to the "weak day-master" group cannot handle or enjoy big wealth when they are still "weak".  There are numerous stories about lottery winners' life got worse or even got killed after hitting the jackpot.

There are five major types of over-metaphysicalized persons:
1.  The successful business people:  These are the luckiest group who enjoy successes in their business with application of metaphysics.  But their appetite for metaphysics tricks keeps growing and becomes "metaphysics junkie".

2.  Business people who WERE successful and are low on luck now:  These people either fail to change with time and/or adapt to new business environment.  Their major problem is not metaphysics but personal problems.  They hope the metaphysics magic wand will turn their business around overnight.  I know a businessman who has built two "5-ghost carry wealth" and a few "water-dragons" in his house. But his business still "sucks" because the problem is people-problem.  The better one will use metaphysics to boost their confidence while the worse one will use metaphysics to justify their failures because of "bad luck" or "bad Feng Shui".

3.  Non-business people who WERE successful and are low on luck now:  Like the business counterparts, these people sometimes dwell on their past successes and fail to change or adapt to new realities. They will max out their credit cards to buy or attend new metaphysics courses/ seminars and hope to turn their luck around. These new courses will dig a deeper financial hole for them.  They also tend to justify their lack or action or failures on "bad luck " or "bad Feng Shui".

4.  The dream-chasers who believe metaphysics is their shortcut to wealth and fame:   This group of people are likely drawn by the claims of easy wealth, "abundance", "fulfillment", "financial freedom", "success" and similar slogans.  One common characteristic of this people is:  they keep searching for a "better mouse trap" (course or seminar) to achieve their dreams before they have thoroughly studied the courses already purchased.

5.  The "not-my-fault" people:   This group of people use metaphysical explanations, whether intentionally or unintentionally, to justify their actions/ non-actions or personal failures.  Justifications like "inauspicious date", "bad Feng Shui", "luck period clashing my Bazi", "bad QMDJ direction", "my energy does not get along with ....",  and the like are common.  There are numerous metaphysics methods and is not difficult to find one to justify or explain away an unpleasant incident or failure.

"Ken, do you mean metaphysics does not work?"

Of course, not every metaphysics method works or always work 100%.  But some methods like Feng Shui, Bazi, date-selection methods may enhance your goal-directed activities.  However, my personal bias is:  use metaphysics methods to avoid or keep bad things from happening to you.  Methods for wealth enhancements should be used sparingly or "unless you have to".

Metaphysics methods, especially the wealth enhancement ones, behave like anti-biotic, the more you use them, the less effective they become to your personal qi or energy field.  I use metaphysics methods to the max only for important occasions.  For everyday life, I just use my own natural qi or energy to handle the events.  It is better to develop your own energy defense (like medicine's self-immunity) than borrowing from metaphysics.

When you get some benefits from metaphysics, sooner or later, you will somehow pay back to the universe.  This is a simple law of karma.

When do you need a Bazi or astrology reading?

You need a Bazi or 4-pillars reading when:

1. You face mostly obstacles in your life
2. Your physical health deteriorates greatly
3. Your career stagnates and stops advancing
4. You suffer extended bad wealth luck
5. You have rocky marital relationship
6. Your children have poor academic performance
7. You are unable to make major investment decisions
8. You have problem choosing the right career
9. You have problem in romance and marriage department

Bazi: Is a strong daymaster better than a weak one?

The first step of a Bazi reading is to determine if the client has a "strong" or "weak" daymaster (DM) by counting the supporting and non-supporting elements in the birth chart.  "Daymaster" is a term for describing the owner of a Bazi chart.

Unfortunately, the terms "strong DM" and "weak DM" seem to infuse value judgment to some clients.  They may think a "strong daymaster" is better than a "weak" one.

While there are some distinct personality and physical characteristics associated with strong and weak DM, they are by no means "better" or "worse" but "different".

The ultimate yardstick to measure, regardless of DM strength ("weak" or "strong"), is if there are more favorable than unfavorable luck periods (10-years-luck) in a chart.  For example, the favorable elements of a strong metal person are non-supporting elements like fire, wood and water.  Unfavorable elements are supporting elements like metal and earth.

If this strong metal DM has mostly metal and earth luck periods, especially during his first few 10-year-luck periods, this DM will not have a good life.

On the other hand, if this is a weak metal DM, metal and earth are his favorable elements.  If his luck periods are mostly metal and earth luck, he will enjoy a good life despite being a weak DM.

Similar logic also apply to "chart quality".  One can have the chart of a king but with mostly unfavorable luck periods-- his life will not be better than a born humble person with favorable luck periods.  For examples, King Louis XVI was guillotined during the French Revolution and Tsar Nicholas II was assassinated in 1918.

"Good luck periods are more important than a good birth chart" is the saying in Bazi.

PS:  To find out if you have a strong or weak DM, read the following:

Two easy ways to enhance your luck

Today is your lucky day because I will show you two easy and free ways of enhancing your luck.

I was shopping at a department store today.  While reading the label of a merchandise, a feeble voice seemed talking to me.

I was amazed to find a 90+ old gentleman standing in front of me.  He saw me in a state of bewilderment because I was not sure if he talked to me.  He said, "I just want to talk to you."

Maybe I look funny with a pony tail.

To my surprise, there was another 90+ years old woman walking in front of him.  Both just has a walking cane though looked frail.  It is rare to have a 90+ years old couple walking unassisted together.  I suddenly feel great joy and lucky seeing this couple.

"In traditional China, anyone over 80 is considered god.  You two are gods to me.  Can I shake your hand?"  I told the old gentleman.

The couple smiled and had shaken my hand.  They walked away happily.

Traditional Chinese believes children under 6 (especially babies) and people over 80 are "gods".  Children under 6 are not yet "socialized" or conditioned to secular beliefs that block their sixth sense and spirits.  Their "spiritual eye" (the ability to sense spirits/energy) may still function.  Their souls or "spirit" or aura are stronger and purer than adults.   Hence, hugging or holding babies and young kids could could activate your potentials and enhance your energy, spirit, health and luck.   This luck enhancing trick is called "touching aura" (沾灵气).

People over 80 have endured the "wheels" of time and "absorbed" the essence or energies of the sun and moon.  Living through 80+ years is also a sign of blessing and longevity.  Touching the hands of these old folks can bring us good energy and luck.  This luck enhancing trick is called "accumulating blessing" (聚福气).

The easiest way to touch many old folks is to visit homes for the senior.

Go out and touch someone 80 years or older!

Feng Shui that affects the female head of the house

This article discusses common Feng Shui conditions that affect the well-being and luck of the female head of the household or business.

In Feng Shui theory, Qian or northwest sector represents the heaven, father or husband of a household.  Kun or southwest sector represents the earth, mother or wife.  Hence the SW environment and item placement  reflect the luck and position of the oldest female of the house.

The items below affects the well-being of the female in a property:

1.  SW sector should not have a missing corner or the eldest female will have no status, being physically weak/ chronically sick, not staying home, low luck, or even die prematurely.
2.  There should be no toilet in SW sector or the female will suffer illness/ low luck or the man will have problem getting a wife
3.   Do not hammer nails or hooks in SW walls.  This may affect the health of the female.
4.  Keep SW sector clean for health of the female
5.  Do not put heavy objects in SW sector.  This may curtail her luck
6.  Put auspicious items or decorations in SW sector to generate good qi / energy for the female.
7.  Kitchen Feng Shui affects female of the house directly.  Check below:

• stove should not face toilet
• stove should not face a door
• stove should not be above a beam
• stove should not face a sharp corner
• stove should not face a water tap

"4 dreadful" on Bazi activation dates 八字断应期真言

Today is your lucky day.  Here are the top secrets on Bazi activation dates on mostly negative events.  The original comes in the form of a Chinese poem:

1. Dreadful of an element not in natal chart shows up (from Luck Period)  无者怕露面
2. Dreadful of a lone element in natal chart shows up again (from Luck Period)  独者怕重见
3. Dreadful of a strong element or element supporting strong element or element opposing the strong element shows up (from Luck Period)  旺者怕两头
4. Dreadful of tomb collapsing (due to interaction with Luck Period) 墓者怕崩陷

You probably could figure out the rational behind these "secrets".  If not, examples and explanations are posted in my Bazi discussion groups.  Simply purchase any one of my Bazi courses will give you access to my Bazi discussion group.
