More reasons why your house does not accumulate wealth

I have written on this topic a few weeks ago and here are some more reasons that a house does not accumulate wealth for its residents (all pictures are taken from "Advanced Visual Form Feng Shui" video course):

1.  Seeing backdoor from the front door location:  Energy, including wealth qi, is leaking through the backdoor.  This situation is also called "heart-piercing sha" in Form Feng Shui.

2.  Missing dragon side:  There is no house or "dragon" in the left side of your house.  Dragon means "helpful people/mentor".  This could also mean there is a big missing corner in the left side of your house or the left side is much lower than the right side.

3.  Houses at the dragon (left) and tiger (right side) of are much higher (2 storeys+) than your own house.

4.  There is no back support like another building or mountain for your house.  This means the residents lacks courage to take risks, lacks support and problem accumulating wealth.

5.  Sloping "ming-tang" or front yard.  Ming-tang stands for the wealth potential of a house and it slops away means problem keeping wealth.

6.  "Roll-away curtain water 卷帘水" in front door:  When one sees a long stairway once stepping out from the front door, the stairway is called "roll-away curtain water".  It means losing wealth and children leaving home and do not return.

7.  "Dragon water exits":  When there is a road (with traffic) at the left side of the house and the left front side also has a road sloping to the left-- this is called "dragon water exits".  This means helpful people go away.

Form Feng Shui: Suppressed Dragon and Roaming Tiger

Earlier this year, I went to Houston to do a site-selection for a client.

The clients want to buy a property for retirement. We had checked five to six farm properties.

One of the farms gave us deep impression. Here is the summary of the farm:
-- a 10 acres fruit farm with positive cash flow (big attraction)
-- relatively new buildings
-- we can feel the house has warm and happy memories (yes, clients and me can feel "qi")

BUT, the main building is almost next to the neighbor. The fence separating the property line is only a few feet from the left side of the house. All the fruit trees and land are at the right or tiger side of the house.

So the dragon side is almost not there!

There is a 400 feet long dirt road pointing straight at the front door of the house. This is a heart-piercing sha or "road-clash" (lu-chong). Someone may die or suffer serious injury with this type of form sha (negative energy). It usually happens within 3- 6 years after moving-in.

We all like the house except the dragon problem. The "road-clash" sha is easy to fix, just re-route the dirt road to encircle the house and transform it into an "embracing water" (good for wealth).

However, the missing dragon is hard to fix. Client talked about moving the whole building (2 storeys, about 5000 sq. feet area) a few hundred meters from the original foundation.

This is an expensive proposition!

Upon further investigation into the history of the house, the real estate agent told us that the original male owner died after moved into the house for about 3 years. The family was a happy family.

When we left the farm, both my client and the real estate agent saw a ghostly male image on a second floor window gazing at us.

Property like this one can be audited without using a luopan. By looking at the form you can tell that the males of the house are weak, having no power, does not like to stay home, family members are isolated or hard to get "helpful people" or mentor (instead, running into mean people), strong/ successful (may be bossy) females and high incidence of widowhood.

There is a formula to calculate when misfortune happens and who will suffer with T-junctions or road-clash (taught in my "Advanced Form Feng Shui" class).

There is similar situation in our bedroom FS-- tiger side or dragon side of the bed is too big or too narrow. The effects are taught at my "Sha Avoidance Feng Shui" (don't worry, no one will die).

We can learn a lot from the tiger.

HEAVEN, EARTH AND HUMAN GUA/ DRAGON

Note: This was written on July 31, 2004

Someone has asked about "heaven plate" yesterday. Here is an excerpt from the course manual "P8 Upgrade Toolkit".

HEAVEN, EARTH AND HUMAN GUA/ DRAGON
In the beginning, luopan had only 8 directions or the 8 trigrams (Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen and Dui). To make the measurement more precise, the ancients subdivided each trigram (45 degrees) into 3 regions of 15 degrees. These regions are called “mountains”.

1. People may confuse “heaven” gua must be all “heavenly stems” directions.
2. 24 mountains is another “representation” of post-heaven Bagua—each trigram of the Bagua handles 3 mountains. So it is essentially another way of “Na Jia”.
3. For the heavenly stems, only 8 stems are used because wu and ji are “earth” and assigned to the center. All 12 earthly branches are utilized.
4. However, there are only 12 + 8 = 20 mountains; we still need four more mountains to “fill” up the 24 directions.
5. Qian, Kun, Gen and Xun, which happens to be at the 4 “corners” of the bagua, are drafted into the 24 mountains.
6. 3 groups of “mountains” are divided according to the location and “purity” :
Heaven gua (yin): zi, wu, mao and yao
Heaven gua (yang): Qian, Kun, Gen and Xun

These eight mountains are considered as “pure” because of their location.

The yin group locates on the “4 cardinal points” and the yang group in the 4 corner locations with no mixture of other directional qi

Earth gua (yin): chen, xu, chou and wei (the 4 “tombs” or storages)
Earth gua (yang): jia, geng, bing and ren
Human gua (yin): yi, xin, ding and gui
Human gua (yang): yin, shen, si and hai

Characteristics of these guas:
HEAVEN GUA -- specialized prosperity, esp. in fame and social mobility
EARTH GUA -- quick and fast prosperity, esp. in academic performance
HUMAN GUA -- long term prosperity, esp. in wealth aspects

The origin of Chinese Dragon

The following blog was written on Dec 4, 2001

Feng Shui people talk a lot about dragon-- chasing the dragon, looking for dragon veins, green dragon and etc. Many Feng Shui classics use titles like "xxxx Dragon Classic this and that".

Is the Chinese dragon just a mythical beast or did it exist?

We Chinese call ourselves the "descendants of the dragon". Most of us know only Dragon represents China and do not really know why.

We know that dragon represents mountains, male, the Chinese emperor, and the likes, but what is the origin of the Chinese dragon?

We have to travel back in history to find out.

5000 years ago, China was still in Neo-Stone Age with many primitive tribes fighting each other (kind of like today's Afghanistan). Yellow Emperor had unified or conquered these tribes and become the first emperor of China.

Each of these tribes had its own totem objects like deer, shrimp, tiger, centipede, snake, eagle, horse, ram....

Yellow Emperor wanted to design a totem or symbol that would represent the country. He became China's first Dr. Frankenstein.

Yellow Emperor was probably the first real politician in history.

He had picked and chosen body parts from totems of different tribes. Of course, the bigger the tribe, the bigger would be the body part represented in the totem-- first instance of representative democracy in history.

The resulting totem is called a "dragon"-- horns from deer, eyes from shrimp, body from snake, legs from eagle, tail from centipede, head from tiger, teeth from horse and beards from ram. So the Chinese dragon is a composite of numerous totem objects from the original tribes of China.

Dragon becomes a symbol of China.

BTW, Yellow Emperor had developed the 10 heavenly stems and 12 earthly branches and the 60 years cycle of the Chinese calendar. His tomb still exists today and had followed Feng Shui principles. So now we can claim with certainty that Feng Shui has been practiced for over 5000 years.
