Cat day afternoon

It has been sizzling hot in our city in the last few days.  Yesterday the temperature was as high as 92F (33.3C).  People here get used to 30+ degree below zero (C or F) but not 33C temperature.  We can put on more clothing with extreme cold but not taking off our skin with extreme heat.

With this hot weather, my two 11-years old sibling cats fight for the coolest place in the house.

They always fight for sitting at the right side of Buddha even the left side is one foot away from a fish tank.  Right side is the tiger side and left is green dragon side in Feng Shui.    I have not wasted my time teaching them Feng Shui.

Reciting "Heart Sutra" to cool down further.

We have heart-shaped cat food for dinner today.

What a cool cat day afternoon!

Stay cool and drink more fluid!

My Two CATeaching Assistants

I have two cateaching assistants when I had produced my "Applied Bazi: Sickness Forecasting and Management".  They are sibling cats.

This is "Bad Boy" or BB for short.  His nickname says it all.  He is "naughty" and always looks for next adventure or trouble for me.

BB's sister is "Good Girl" or GG for short.  But "good" is relative to BB, she still scratches my furniture and splits my window curtains.

BB crashed into my video booth while I filming course video.  I caught him red-handed. I was surprised that he is camera-shy.

GG did not want to miss the fun, so she crashed into my video booth too.

With the lovely hearts in the background, you may think that I was doing a dating show for cats.  No, I was doing the chapter on "heart diseases" while GG invaded the set.  But she was at ease with the camera.

GOOD GIRL'S SECRET

This is GG relaxing on the floor.  She likes to lay down like a human.

Do you see the "hidden animal" in GG as shown in the picture below (click picture to enlarge if you want to see more detail)?  You need to use your subconscious mind to see this animal.

Erotic cat stories?

 VALENTINE CAT

"Bagel" was adopted by Mr. Chiang in Taiwan a few months ago.   She is a playful cat and likes to wake up her owner in the middle of the night to clean her litter box after she has peeved.  Obviously, Bagel is a cleanliness freak.

A few days ago at Valentine day,  Mr. Chiang has discovered the heart-shape pattern in Bagel's front legs when she is in the upright sitting position.  He has posted the picture on social media and it becomes viral.

WILL WORK FOR CAT FOOD

"Wang-wang"  and "Sugar" are "shop cats" in Tai-Po, Hong Kong.  They greet customers in the shop and are popular in the area.  Their owner wants the cats to be self-supportive.  He posts this "price list" for touching, kissing , hugging and taking photo with the cats.  The prices here are in Hong Kong dollars  (US$1 = HK$7.75)

Someone has posted this price list to social media.  It has generated many comments.  Some netizens said the menu items are limited.  These cats can expand their service to escort, over-night services, dating and the likes.  One comments that fortunately that there is no charge for looking at the cats.

SUGAR DADDY WANTED BY A YOUNG AND GORGEOUS FEMALE

The owner of this female cat wants someone else to take over her in Hong Kong.  It seems this owner is not well educated in Chinese language.  The Chinese sign shows "Sugar Daddy Wanted" in the photo above.

The Chinese characters "包養" (bao-yang) means "keeping a mistress" or "sugar daddy" in English.   S/he should have used the verb "收養" (shou-yang) for "adoption".

Probably being a sugar daddy for a cat is much easier and happier than the "real thing".  A cat may complain a little or peeve on your bed, but will never ask for a diamond ring or LV handbag.

Infidelity: cat edition

A series of cat photos go viral in the Chinese web.  On Nov. 11, 2016,  someone has seen two lover cats frolicking together:

The ginger male cat scratched the female tabby cat.

They kissed each other

Touched her shoulder

But the next day, Nov. 12,  another male cat showed up.....

Ginger cat's girl friend has mated with another male-- in front of him!

Poor Romeo was mentally and physically "collapsed".
This is really a catastrophe.  Cats have feeling too.

The female cat must have many "peach blossom" elements in her Bazi chart.

Easy Pet Feng Shui

10 years ago, I wrote about my neighbor's new puppy, a black labrador:

stock photo

http://kenlaifengshui.blogspot.com/search?q=super+cleanser

Kate, the puppy, becomes an old dog.  She has died of cancer last Monday.

Kate was an energetic dog.  She always greeted me with hugs and talked to me.  She had kept her promise of not peeving on my lawn too.  I write this "Easy Pet Feng Shui" to honor her life.

EASY PET FENG SHUI

This pet Feng Shui is based on elemental or energy nature of each animal groups.  It is easy to execute-- simply put the pet house or nest into "best sector" of your house or animal shelter.  For example, if the best sector is in the east, put your pet's nest/ bed in the east side of your house.  Below are some definitions for the table below.

Animal Groups
For clarity, each group is represented by one animal.  But it can also represent similar animals.  For examples: "Dog group" also represents wolf, fox and the likes.  "Cat group" also represents tiger, cougar and the likes. "Fish group" represents all aquatic animals.  "Bird group" also represents any feathered birds like turkey, rooster and the likes.

Best Sector
This is the best location for setting up your pet's sleeping quarter or nest.  It promotes good health and vitality for your pet because the energy of this location matches your pet's unique energy patterns.

Weakening Sector
This is not a location for setting up your pet's sleeping quarter or nest.  The energy here will weaken or drain the energy of your pet.

Negative Sector
This is the worst location for setting up your pet's sleeping quarter or nest.  The energy here is fighting with your pet's energy.  It will create serious health problem like cancer here.

RIP Kate the dog

"Cat also griefs like human" 貓也重情，不比人差

On March 13, 2016 at 3 PM,  a black male cat was killed by a traffic accident near  a housing complex in Chongqing City, China.  A yellow female cat had stood guard near the body of the male cat and refused to leave despite the traffic.

"This cat is very intelligent.  I am touched deeply 這貓太有靈性了，真的好感人".  "Cat also griefs like human 貓也重情，不比人差 "  Some pedestrians had commented.

This female cat had kissed the male cat body frequently as if trying to "wake up" the male cat.  She also had circled around the motionless body, smelled his back, licked his tail, pushed his head with her paws and even jumped over his body from time to time.

She became nervous and crawled around the male cat whenever a car was driving by.

Bystanders were saddened by the actions of this yellow cat.  Though they had worried about her safety,  they did not want to disturb her or move her to safety.

According to the security guard of the nearby housing complex, these two cats are a stray cat couple in this area.  The deceased cat was the male partner.

Policeman there had determined the male cat was dead and made arrangement to have the carcass removed.

The security guard said that if this yellow cat stays in the area, he and the residents will feed her.

This female had stayed with the male cat carcass till the very end.

Cat also griefs.

RIP Black cat.

In Memoriam, Blue Bird

In 2002, my 13 years old son wanted a pet.  We went to a pet shop and bought a blue parakeet.  My son named it "Percy".

Then we found Percy was not happy and lonely.  So we bought him a partner, a green parakeet.

Within a few months, my son had lost interest in the parakeets.  We got stuck with the feeding and caring of these birds.

Percy had a strong personality.  He would make sure you know how he felt.  He could make annoying noises that sound like 10+ birds were chirping when he was not happy.

He knew how to "bang" the bird cage door when he wanted us to refill the feeder.

After 2 years, his green partner had died.  We bought him another partner, a white parakeet.

In 2007, we have adopted a big black cat Meow-Meow.  Meow-Meow spares no time to explore the bird cage.

Meow-Meow weighed 15 pounds and Percy was about 3 oz.. This is like a T-rex dinosaur sitting a few inches from a human, separated by a cage only inches away.  But Percy did not panic at all.

It looked like the cartoon "Tweety Bird".

Cat and birds co-existed peacefully with occasionally "admiration" by the cat sitting a few inches from the cage when the cat is bored.

In the summer of 2012,  Percy's white parakeet partner had died.  I was hesitated to get him another partner this time because life expectancy of parakeet is about 10 years.  Percy was a pretty "old bird" by definition.  He had outlived two partners already.  If I get him a new partner and he suddenly hit the bucket, I will get stuck taking care of another bird for 10+ years.  I am not a young man either.

Daoist "100+ ClemencyTalismans"

To alleviate Percy's loneliness, I moved his cage frequently to the balcony or near a window, so that he could see and hear other birds outside.  He also chirped with other birds outside from time to time.

Then in an early May morning, I found Percy lay down motionless on the cage floor.  I had almost bought a new parakeet two days ago but hesitated.

We were both sad and happy for Percy.  Percy can now move on to another realm or at least meet his late partners.

To ensure that Percy will reborn in a high realm of existence, I had cleansed his body with holy water.  I had rubbed his body with a Daoist "100+ Clemency" talismans to get all the "pardons" he needs to pass through the underworld.  Finally I had buried him with a Tibetan talisman that will enable him to reincarnate as a higher being than a bird.

I have buried him next to his late partner.  A few weeks later, a plant with blue and white flowers, the colors of Percy's feathers,  grows from his grave.

RIP Percy the Blue Parakeet
2002- 2015

P.S.  If you want your deceased pet or love one avoid reincarnation into the animal realm, email me to get the red talisman shown in this picture.

The flower plant grows from Percy's grave

Dog Story II: Dogs also grief

In 2008, I had blogged about a Chinese brown dog trying to save its deceased partner after a traffic accident.   A few days a go I have stumbled onto the actual video footage in YouTube.  The video is more moving than words.  Here is the link:

The following is another incident about two stray dogs.  The female dog was killed on the road and the brown male dog tried desperately to "revive" her.  The video was broadcasted in Chinese TV and touched the hearts of millions.

The Chinese subtitles at the end of the video explain that the helper had fed  the male dog a sausage.  He ate half and stuffed the remaining half into the mouth of the deceased dog.  The helper then poured some water into his mouth.   He licked the mouth of the female dog.  Eventually the male dog was exhausted trying to "revive" his partner.  Helplessly,  he lay on top of the female dog.

Later,  the volunteer helper had found a tree near a farm house, dug a one foot deep grave and buried the female dog under the watchful eyes of the male dog.

Proper burial or disposal of deceased animal or roadkill is good for one's karma too.

Cats also grief like dogs.  Here is a video showing a cat trying to revive its partner with its paws for hours.

Animals grief too.

The big black cat and the baby cricket

If you follow my blog, you probably know that I become an "accidental" owner of a 3 years old big black cat a few weeks ago.

This cat looks like a shrunk black panther. Its look is pretty intimidating to small kids. It can run 20 feet in half a second to her food bowl when she is hungry.

My kids talk to her (a female cat) in English, but I talk Chinese to her, hopefully she will become a smart bilingual feline. Her name is too complicated for me, so I just call her "Meow-meow".

It has the bad habit of drinking water from the offering cups of my earth-god altar. It could have been her death warrant if we send her back to the animal shelter. Being relatively old, big and black, she is likely euthanized than adopted again. So she is either stay with us or in heaven.

Last night, I saw some amazing interactions between this cat and a baby cricket. The cricket is less than 1 cm. in length.

When Meow-meow saw the cricket, instead of doing an ambush strike that most cats will do, she gently touched the cricket with her paw. The baby cricket, probably has never seen a cat before, simply jumped a few inches. She again gently and slowly touched the cricket. Again the cricket jumped a few inches.

At this moment, I thought Meow-meow may stretch her tongue and sweep the cricket into her mouth. Again, she just chased the cricket slowly and let it run away.

This is a good cat with a gentle heart! I have almost sent her back to the animal shelter to face the Lord!

Just like human beings, you cannot judge an animal by how it looks or judge a person by his/ her external appearance. This is why I resist learning or teaching face-reading. I do not want any preconceptions of how a face looks to color my perceptions of and interactions with people.
